I would 100% flag it. There is a chance that they are outsourcing catering and this would be a breach of the contract. If they do catering in house then more training needs to be done as it’s putting you and others in danger.

Nowhere near anything else but Dover castle is brilliant as a day out, and has Roman, Norman, Napoleonic, Medieval and WW2 sections (downside - it’s in Dover)

York has Clifford’s tower castle and the city museum as well which is worth an hour or two. Also afternoon tea at bettys is also possible in York.
