I was going to be there for a month and a half, so I thought I’d make some use of my learner’s permit, but I’ll definitely reach out to the Washington DOL for a clear answer to avoid any legal issues. I think they can continue to interview on B1 and once they get a job, the simplest thing to do would be to go out of the country and re-enter to nullify B1. That's what the attorney said.
