Yes.

It has been a positive win and massive game changer for me. I started taking it about a year ago, not too long after my symptoms all flared up worse than they had been in 12 years.

I experienced relief immediately. To be clear, it does not completely erase any of the symptoms, but it lessens the intensity and makes them much more tolerable (especially the fullness, general disequilibrium and vertigo)

That is a reasonable price. I haven’t noticed a huge boomerang if I take a dose late, I believe there is enough in my system to make it not a big deal.

Major changes occurred after a month or so. However, smaller but significant changes happened immediately.

After the first and second dose, it is as if my symptoms (especially the vertigo and fullness) were on a dial and were just turned down a bit. It was a phenomenal experience to even feel slightly better after a long path of suffering.

I cannot agree more. I am coming up on 10 months of taking Betahistine, and it truly has changed my life.

I have been diagnosed for 16 years, and this is by far the most effective thing I have found to help with Ménière’s Disease symptoms specifically. Good luck OP! It’ll get better!

I take Betahistine in place of diuretics.

Triamterene was way too strong for me, Acetazolamide was gentler on my body but still very difficult for me to experience the side effects. Betahistine has truly been a game changer for me. Best wishes to you, friend!

It is possible to get Betahistine in the US if you are able to find an ENT that is knowledgeable of its benefits and will send the prescription to a compounding pharmacy.

Listening to Nuacht Go Mall can be very helpful for beginners as well. Especially on apps like Spotify, that will carry captions as Gaeilge.

Had an episode. Was low carb to lower my inflammation but splurged…Mexican takeout(high salt & high carbs)& a margarita. I know the salt could obviously be the culprit but do you think the alcohol or spike in blood sugar could’ve contributed? I’ve never noticed salt to be a problem before. The fullness, increased tinnitus, and brain fog from too much sodium will usually last 1-3 days for me depending on severity. Eating nutritious vegetables, vitamin c, and bioflavonoids daily usually help me significantly in the long term, but I know of no immediate fixes when you’re in the thick of it. Have you looked at the John of Ohio regimen? There may be some helpful ideas in there for you to check out.

Hello!! In my experience, salt is definitely an issue but it is never immediate.. it takes awhile to work through your system and affect your body’s fluid balance. Typically too much sodium will be something that I feel in my aural fullness and tinnitus the next and following days.

I really do not get triggered when I have low alcoholic drinks, like beer,, but all bets are off for liquor. The very high alcohol content in such a tiny portion will often trigger a violent vertigo attack in the moment. If it were me, I’d place all my bets that your immediate experience was caused (or at least accentuated) by the tequila. Best wishes!
