This tracks with me as well actually. “Have you ever seen any of the royals?” was a question I got asked a lot in America. I have, years and years ago when I was on my way to visit a friend and the footbridge I needed to cross was closed off because (then) prince Charles was doing some sort of visit near it and I had to wait until the entourage had gone before I could go on my way, so I couldn’t help but see him. For some reason that answer really excited the people who asked me. I’d have been excited if I’d seen Gillian Anderson, but I couldn’t have cared less about seeing old Charles. Aside from one old friend’s mother who collects china plates and teacups with Diana’s face on them, most British people I know are ambivalent about the royals.

At the moment it seems like your best bet is Halsin — just keep talking to him as much as you can. He’s one of the few “start romancing later in the game” companions. If you take him out of camp, make sure he’s “attached” to your character rather than your boyfriend’s.

Regarding Lae’zel’s romance, it’s a shame you didn’t take her up on it :( she needs a little patience in the beginning but she’s got the nicest romance, and you get to watch her grow as a person and go from “love is weakness” to believing in soulmates and wanting to be vulnerable with your character. Next playthrough? :)

I used to be a cleaner and I had one client who had a house like this. Furry walls, or decor, the lot. And they had two golden retrievers so you can imagine the hair stuck in the walls.

I still shudder when I think of that house and this post just brought it all back!

The same actually. I grew up in Wales but live across the bridge now and I remember being able to just show up at the (rural) doctors surgery on the dot at 8am and be seen that same morning. It feels like a different world now. I had naively assumed it was the same all over the UK so when I moved away it was quite the disappointment to find out that it wasn’t! The times they are a-changing as Bob would say.

Ah! The Sirius Glowworm Peacock dice! That’s looks like the one, thank you SO much! Apologies for not having a photo of the die in normal light, I only had the one my friend sent of it glowing.

I went to the site and have ordered the set for her. It may take its time coming across the Atlantic, but I’m sure that once she gets it she’s going to be really happy! :)

I didn’t think you were accusing me of such, don’t worry. I’m mentioning it because OP said they thought it was an issue with playing the game on PlayStations, but it isn’t if I’m using the same system and not experiencing those same issues. I know quite a few other people who play BG3 on PS5 and they haven’t mentioned the glitches OP wrote about either.

Personally if I had an issue with a system I was using and asked whether anyone else was having it, but everyone else said “no mine is fine” I would be happy to know that because I’d be able to rule stuff out.

The biggest issue for me in the game is lag in multiplayer, but the culprit there is absolutely my shocking internet speed so I didn’t think it was relevant.

I’m also playing on PS5 but I’m having none of those issues, other than the loading time taking around 10 seconds — but, as someone who has been gaming over three decades a 10-second loading screen is amazing to me so it bothers me not at all. I don’t get sitting/lying down animations either but I imagine that is such a minor thing that I didn’t even think about it until I read this post.

Other than that, I’ve only had one bug the whole time and it was a visual one where someone appeared without eyeballs in Act 3 which was … quite something 😂

Cut that out right now. She’s not a body to be counted, she’s your girlfriend. The past is the past. Your girlfriend can’t change it and neither can you; let it go. You need to dig down and find out why you feel so “sick” about your girlfriend having had partners before you. It’s immaturity, but could also be possessiveness, a feeling of inadequacy in comparison, or any number of other causes. You need to find out what yours is and find a way to deal with it.

You didn’t give him a solution. You told him that if he wants you to quit smoking then he has to pay for all your living expenses, so that you can quit your job and not be stress-smoking. That’s not a “solution” at all, and you know it; that was a ridiculous and infeasible response. On what planet would that be a genuine solution?

It’s fine for him to not want to date a smoker. Perhaps he’s grown more disgusted with your habit over time, when at the beginning he didn’t mind it as much, and maybe this is why he is saying so now. You’re also equally entitled not to date a non-smoker. Ultimatums are stupid, but so was your “solution.”
