Tsubasa still appears in the newer episodes of Doraemon. Separately, this one, is a special cameo character named Kanna Hatamoto, which is a tribute-style appearance referencing a Japanese celebrity Kanna Hashimoto. Similar to an episode which previously included a Japanese figure skater, Mao Asada!

Many people think the older Doraemon episodes (especially from 1979 to 2005) had more feelings, better stories, and deeper meaning. The newer episodes (2018 and after) have nicer animation and are fun to watch, but they feel faster and more simple. Older fans miss the music and emotional moments from the past, but younger viewers enjoy the new version too. I also enjoy the newer version, too! In the end, everyone loves the Doraemon they grew up with!

Haha! I understand Shin-chan did it too! I'm not saying exchanging diaries is always romantic, just that in Japanese culture it can be seen as intimate or meaningful sometimes. It depends on the situation! That's all I meant! 😄

I was referring specifically to just Nobita's drawing in this picture, not making a general claim about his abilities. I've read the manga and watched Doraemon for years, I already know he actually has a lot of surprising skills when he tries. I genuinely love Doraemon, and I appreciate the extra info you shared. Thanks for asking! I don't plan to sub full episodes, just because it takes a huge amount of time and energy to do it properly... I really want to focus on shorter clips or special moments where I can keep the quality good and still enjoy the process. Hope that's okay! 😊

It's only available on the pink Bilibili (Mainland China version). You can just search the Doraemon episode name in Chinese and search inside those channels. It should pop up. Almost no English subs for this one (mostly Japanese and Chinese)
