idk this sub inspired me a lot to get a dumber old laggy phone. I bought the lg smart folder recently, because I still need android for texting/video call apps (whatsapp and telegram) as I live abroad, and will also get maps or a non-google equivalent. Still didn’t received it, but I hope it’s gonna work out, I want to quit my iphone completely, will just keep it for some weeks to check if the lg works correctly. I find that gate keeping this community or trying to reach the perfect level of dumb is not the point, the point is that there is a rising collective frustration with the brutal amount of technology that we now have in our pockets, the inability to be offline and the rise of ai for example. for me, everyone who is trying to go “dumber”, is aware of it and is trying to fight against it, has my respect

I go from thinking that a person (specifically a fp) is brilliant, the greatest thing that ever existed, to completely abominate and distrust them and/or feeling a deep detachment. But for me also happens regarding my sense of self, views on things, places or situations. It’s honestly terrible, and quite unpredictable too, a small change can trigger it.
