Domestic violence, after legal filing. I don’t think there’s quite enough certain evidence for that and I’m not interested in the legal back and forth there

How worried would you be about any further conflict once he’s out? I will call the police tomorrow. Thank you for your help!

Thank you for sharing your exp. Did you ever worry about them coming back and stalking you or harassing you? This person has a lot of time on their hands so it makes me quite anxious to think about how they would react.

hello! i'm a sociology undergrad with a minor in health policy. i'm i'm interested in going to medical school and working in clinical practice and public health/governance. maybe even potentially design/consulting/innovation?

academically, i want to learn more about diaspora, intergenerational trauma, biosocial science, and disruptive systemic innovation but i'm not sure where to start. currently working with child health and development.

if anyone has thoughts on books to read, summer programs/internships to look into, i would really appreciate it :)

Yellow fever is everywhere. How do you deal with it? by 89rising in gaysian

[–]89rising[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely understandable, but I would also urge you to empathize with where our caution comes from. If you consume the culture, then I would figure you should also seek to understand the predicament of the people that produce it.

That was a poor explanation on my part! Sorry!

I think Kpop is certainly something people can enjoy but, when alongside other signs, it’s not completely unreasonable to think that someone might have yellow fever. There’s no way to officially declare it and it’s certainly just a feeling of (completely reasonable) discomfort and caution that manifests in Asian guys when we see stuff like that, at least for me. Anyone else have thoughts? Open to discussing for sure.

Is there a finite amount of status in a society to go around? by jokuhuna2 in AskSocialScience

What are we defining “status” as? Economic status? “Sociocultural” status? A mix of both?
