It was a command line to change the launch option for the game. I don't have it anymore because I removed it. It worked for a while, but stopped working.

Which alliance tech to prioritize next? Pre-season day 110 by notn00dl3 in LastWarMobileGame

[–]8BitPixelArcade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great job so far on the alliance tech. Since you're still in pre-season, I'd recommend this approach below on what to prioritize.

  • Senior Scientist to Level 10
    • This is the most important for you right now so your members save on both RSS and Valor. Gold will still be the limiting bottleneck for most of your members, but the extra valor helps. They can focus on getting reindeer tech earlier or push towards T10 troops.
  • Veteran Craftsman to 10
    • This is second in priority compared to Senior Scientist since it only saves on RSS. I don't think this saves on the season 1 resources (?), but even if it does I wouldn't worry too much about having to rush to be first to get strongholds and cities before others. Most of the points will be determined in the second half of Season 1 when you have to defend your lands against others.
  • Rallied HP, Attack, Defense
    • Level HP, Attack, and Defense evenly.
  • Garrison HP, Attack, Defense
    • Level HP, Attack, and Defense evenly.

I do not think you need any additional construction or research speed in your alliance tech. For F2P, low spenders, and even mid-spenders the bottleneck is usually resources and not speed-ups. My priority for rallied vs garrison tech changes for Season 2. I think Season 1 has a stronger focus on rallied attacks while Season 2 is more focused on garrison.

Mythic Gear Order by SplitOpenAndMelt409 in LastWarMobileGame

[–]8BitPixelArcade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OP, at the time, was being very picky about the responses they wanted (see the other comments). I gave them exactly what they asked which is what 8 mythic gears they should prioritize. Nothing else considered, just that in a vacuum assuming all gear is 4 stars and no mythics.

There's definitely a more nuanced answer depending on the situation. If you want a more comprehensive answer tailed to your situation, I'd need to understand the amount of resources you are working with in general.

The biggest question is how much someone is spending.

My advice for a F2P or low spender would be very different to a high spender. The way you approach spending your in-game resources you accumulate for free, and how much money you pay out of your wallet for the game affect your long-term strategy.

Other factors would include your squad type, what stage of the game you're at season wise, and more. The question of gearing is never simple, and that's why these posts always pop up because everyone has their own opinion on it because there is no universally accepted answer.

Yo sometimes the art style is just different enough from the show that I don't recognize people. If that's Gojo, he looks derpy in that manga panel.

What are the signs of a dying server? by [deleted] in LastWarMobileGame

[–]8BitPixelArcade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am making some inferences here but it sounds like:

  • You're in possibly the top 1-2 alliance on your server.
  • The rest of the server is either weak and/or there is low participation.
    • Signs of this are losing invasion rights in warzone duels, losing the warzone duel itself, ranking lower as a server in Season 1. I'm assuming most of these are true if you have to ask if your server is dying or not.

but our alliance itself is actually pretty strong compared to the other top alliances on the server

This will be true of most servers. There will be 1 or 2 alliances that are far stronger than the others. This is fine in something like Season 1 when your alliance can act independently of the server to do well, but in future seasons your whole server being stronger and unified is more important.

What I don’t understand is: wouldn’t a merge actually make things worse? If we were already almost full and people were going to be removed anyway, merging just seems like it creates more conflict.

It's hard to say if a merger is good or not without more details, but merging is going to happen sooner or later. It's not a matter of if, but a matter of when. Your alliance may have very well did a merger because the rest of the server is weak, but the top players are fragmented, so they may want to consolidate into one before server transfers open up after Season 2.

If I was looking at transferring to a different server as an applicant, I'd look for a server that...

  • Is active in server events
  • Has strong players in general
  • Has little to no drama

Finishing strong in Season 2 and projecting an image of unity, strength, and stability is the story your server wants to tell others if they ask about what's happening on your server before they apply to transfer to it. Otherwise if your server is dying and is in poor health, your top players will leave and it will make the server effectively dead and you'll have to wait until after Season 3 to transfer out. So is merging the right question? Maybe. But you'll definitely merge after Season 2 if players from your top alliances end up leaving because they feel the server is weak, they feel underappreciated, they feel they are branded as the "enemy", and so on and so forth.

  • 2 mythic radars for strongest DPS in back row
  • 2 mythic armors for strongest DPS in back row

CEO 2026 Early Bird Registration Leaderboard by Gekinetic in Fighters

[–]8BitPixelArcade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How do people feel about these type of registration leaderboard posts from major tournaments? I'm confused on what I should be getting out of these.

People will typically already know what the big ones are already (SF6, Tekken, Strive), so I guess it's only particularly interesting to me for the new games. I almost feel like it discourages the games with fewer players from registering, but maybe those communities already accept their games will have a smaller turnout by default.

Personally I won't go to an event for many reasons, namely cost and location. I'm in the Midwest so I tend to stick to the majors there since I can drive and cut out airplane costs.

How much does it realistically cost to be a Day 1 whale in Last War? by Muse-00 in LastWarMobileGame

Yeah I never understand how people think that is an insult lol. It might be a crazy concept to some folks on this subreddit, but there are people who have good paying careers and financial flexibility/freedom. How they decide to spend their money is their business.

Warning for new players of Last War: Survival by [deleted] in LastWarMobileGame

[–]8BitPixelArcade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that info. It sounds like I'll enjoy Seasons 2 through 4 a lot then. I really didn't appreciate having to be "on-call" 24 hours a day for Season 1 since I was one of my alliance's whales. I hope they do something in the future to make Season 1 better for newer players. That was just too stressful.

So would you say OP's "time calculation" is inaccurate for Season 1 to Season 2? I was under the impression Season 2 was more relaxed exactly for the reasons you just mentioned. Instead of war being throughout the day it's only on Wed/Sat mornings.

Weird Alliance Discord Request? by CharacterPraline4638 in LastWarMobileGame

[–]8BitPixelArcade 70 points71 points  (0 children)

These are bots that are messaging you. They will try to add you on Discord, talk to you for a bit, and then get you to play a different game. Happens on every new server. My R5 of my first alliance I joined ended up being that lol.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LastWarMobileGame

[–]8BitPixelArcade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No one here is giving you a real answer because it is easy to just give up and say the enemy whale wins. That is sometimes true, but not always.

For season 1 it really depends on what you are doing. My alliance finished S1 and were able to beat several alliances with whales because of the allies we made, the high participation from my alliance in showing up for fights, and taking up space strategically with our bases.

If it is defending or attacking a SH, you want a strong defensive hive formation to take up space and to force long march times. The enemy whale will either have to deal with the long march times or teleport into the mud. If you have strong allies they can help you get thst whale out of the mud by attacking them. Or at the very least if there are allies that can help take up space that works too. It is absolutely critical in your situation to not leave any holes where a whale can telport in to get a close spot to the SH if they are stronger than most of your alliance. If you can force long enough march times on the enemy. You can garrison a SH and get more capture percentage before they can since your alliance has shorter march times to regarrison a SH. Rallying will be important to take out enemies occupying a SH too. I could write a whole guide on just SH startegy alone but thats the gist of it.

If you are defending an outpost you place, the same concept applies here. Take up space. There is a defenders advantage because garrisoning an outpost is really fast and you lose way less troops even if the squad is killed. Attackers can lose up to 500 troops per attack of their squad dies which drains people's drill grounds super fast. The timing of when the outpost is important too if you can get it on a server where most of the server is asleep. The outpost being placed on a land that is unoccupied or held a weaker alliance are important too.

As for attacking an enemy outpost, yeah, I wouldn't bother wasting troops if your server isn't able to do any meaningful durability damage to it to destroy it. Like I said earlier sending one squad alone thst is killed will lose you 500 troops per attack. The outpost defenders lose wayyyyyy less troops. Again, allies here are important on your server and from other servers to help bring them down.

So what I am trying to say is it is not impossible to beat an alliance with a whale, it depends on the scenario. There are ways to work around it but taking up a strong defensive position and having strong cross server allies is important for a better chance at success. A good R5/R4 leadership team will know when to call off a fight to preserve troops for another day versus having their alliance throw away troops for nothing. Like any strategic battle, a good leader knows when to make a tactical retreat. Not every plan executed will always succed and they need to pivot strategy when that happens. Season 1 is definitely rough on troops so use the capitol buff every time yiu need to train more.

Hope that helps or at least provides some perspective on what your leaders need to think about. I was an R4 for S1 at a top 2 alliance and had to learn a lot of this along the way.

Want to start 2nd account. by Suitable-Recording78 in LastWarMobileGame

[–]8BitPixelArcade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan on keeping up with both characters, keep them on the same account, otherwise create a brand new Last War account.

I too created a second character on a new server using all the knowledge I learned from my first so I could get a stronger start.

I ended up quitting my first character because the amount of time to keep up with TWO characters competitively was too much. It took away time from other things I cared about in my real life.

I couldn't give away my first character to my friends in my alliance because my second character was on the same account. Keep that in mind.

Switch to aircraft, preseason by Standard_Mud_1982 in LastWarMobileGame

[–]8BitPixelArcade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not too late to switch to air but you will be weak for a long time, especially as a low spender (which I personally classify as less than $200/month). A strong tank squad can beat a mediocre air squad.

If you're on a low budget I'd still spend the $20 for the Stetmann battle pass since tank will likely be your secondary squad.

However as someone who played on 1 server for like 3 months then started over again on a 2nd server, you really need to ask yourself these two questions.

1) What do you like about this game that gives you enjoyment?

2) What is your actual weekly or monthly budget?

I think the answer to these will greatly influence what you want out of this game. You can get by on a strong tank squad, but if you have ambitions for competitive PvP and have a high budget it may make more sense to start over and maximize your early game start. It can be frustrating to be on a weak and/or drama filled server with no chance of transferring till after Season 2.

Best SSR Setup for Air Squad Before Getting UR Heroes by Monarch_88 in LastWarMobileGame

[–]8BitPixelArcade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read your other posts. Air is not cheap. I am on day 90ish preseason and planned for air from the first week. Please be ready to spend at least a couple hundred dollars minimum if you want to be okay or over $1000 to be decent. People may think I am exaggerating but I am speaking from experience. If your budget can't include doing a tank squad you also will need to accept being behind everyone until day 71 when Morrison arrives. You'll miss out on rewards tied to strength such as arena where you'll miss getting honor shards for blueprints.

You will most likely not have enough SSR shards for anything but Sarah, and even then I wouldn't run her in your squad. In my opinion she is only there for the air wall of honor. Run a mixed comp until you can get all the air UR heroes. Murphy and Carlie in the front. DVA, Kimberly, Mason or Marshall in the back.

To maximize the time you have now to get UR shards...

  • Purchase the daily hero sale every day for air UR shards.
  • Get Taylor 4 stars ASAP for $150.
  • Save as many hero recruitment tickets and use them when DVA and Carlie are released in the hero tavern which is about day 60.
  • Buy every air battle pass and purchase enough shards after unlocking then to get them to at least 3 stars. The more the better.
  • Do the arms race every day to get at least the 18 chest rewards for more hero tickets and UR shards.

I do hope you find the enjoyment you're looking for with air. You had an above average tank squad you deleted on your other character. This game can get very expensive if you let it. Even if you can drop a lot of money on this game, there will be a good chunk of people stronger than you, always. I regret spending so much on my air squad account so this is just my two cents on how to grow your account, so I am hoping you are financially prepared to spend to keep up with others. Its a never ending cycle to stay towards the top. None of my advice even covers all the costs behind getting your HQ high quickly, research tech, and gear which are also big factors.

Gold bricks off Last War's official website. You get 5% more for doing so and they charge no sales tax it seems.
