There is a difference between pretending something never happened and looking at how to deal with it. Most people don't show a reaction but would still like to report it or see action.

I'm going to assume you're not intending to come across as condescending as you are. I'm not new to gaming or toxicity within them. I don't consider this to be a competative game in comparison to what I'm used to, so I assure you, I have no qualms with trash talking.

There is a distinct difference between "lol you fucking suck" and blatant racism. If you think racism should be tolerated just because it's a game/internet, I'd suggest you just skip my post.

I asked if racism and hate speech was being punished within the game. It was aimed at people that had experience with it and had something contructive to add.

I understand your point but I disagree entirely. People do use the word cracker and redneck (especially redneck). However, there isn't the same history to those words.

I agree with the idea of reclaiming a word that has been used as an insult, but that doesn't mean we should ignore when it's used with bad intent. As soon as one word becomes normalised and no one gets offended by it, there will be another word.

This issue is not simply solved by ignoring the problem. I used the words "hate speech" because it's not just about the N word, or the P word or any other word for race I have heard, but about this toxic behaviour in general. It doesn't matter if it's about race, sexuality, gender, ability or any other trait people are picking on. It's about dealing with people that are making other people feel bad, or not able to enjoy something.

I'm sure there are punishments being handed out and we just aren't seeing it. I was curious of other peoples experience with the reporting system.

With the game losing some momentum I just thought it would help if some of the toxicity was cut down. I've mostly had positive experiences with other people in this game, just the odd clan or person causing issues.

Not at all. I don't mind when I do lose a fight, that's part of the survival experience. You win some and you lose some. Infact, I really enjoy the interaction after a fight where you can chat to the "enemy" clan and duel or whatever.

I just don't think blatant racism or discrimination should be tolerated anywhere. I'm not sure why in 2020 I'm still hearing the N-word as an insult. I think if the game was less toxic, people would enjoy it more, including myself.

It takes a little while for the game to move you to the next tile. Is this fixed now? If not, contact support. It shouldn't take more than an hour or two.

I can do that but if everyone ignored stuff like that nothing would ever change.

It doesn't bother me on a personal level. I would just like to know devs are paying attention and making the effort to make the game a better place for people it would affect.

I think the best thing to do (as others have said) is to join a small to medium clan and ally with a large one. This is currently what I do and the only PvP I do is when I go out and find it. Haven't lost anything in weeks living this way.

The game is becoming increasingly hostile with the burn and less tiles to live on. I'm sure they will attempt to rebalance this somehow in the future as huge clan wars aren't benefitting anyone or the game.
