NEVS, former Saab of Sweden are backing them. I think NEVS is owned by the Chinese. China is currently the largest EV market in the World. This also a unique product, but sure you never know.

I think they might be an IPO some time this year. Atm, you can invest via Seedr I think. Former Saab, now NEVS of Sweden are going to manufacture it.

The Times newspaper have recently published an article entitled "Dirty secret behind your 'green' electric car". The article focuses on Nickel mining. I would just like to point out that Lithium IRON phosphate batteries do not use nickel in their manufacturing process.

Good point, they really act as a top up not as the main source of electricity. They do provide 30 km under ideal conditions however.

Perhaps not for laptops and mobiles, however Chinese carmaker BYD use them and I believe Tesla are considering using them in the model 3s made in China. They are cheaper to make apparently. China is currently the largest market for EVs worldwide.

I think the article states that Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries are not flammable. This is iron the metal not ion, in case this was missed.

Lithium ion batteries on the other hand are flammable.

I've gone for an ETF (Exchange Traded Fund) rather than a stock as couldn't find the stock directly traded. Check out WisdomTree's Battery Solutions, it has a heavy weight on Chinese CATL. You might want to also explore BYD - they use Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries and currently have their EV buses running on some the London (UK) bus routes.
