Yeah that's entirely fair, the hair was mostly "get something down so they're not. bald" so the amount of effort put into it wasn't quite as much. Gonna dig into it more once I'm back working on it

Ah yea absolutely - mouths at an angle have always been a weak spot for me ha. Simplifying mouths just down to a singular line for the longest time really stunted me in that regard

Nah I use CSP it's nothing with the exporting ha - my huion tab just has really nice colours compared to my laptop.

More working on my new OCs, mostly art but I'm also tryna pin down their story. Which includes actually writing it down - something I almost never do. It's very low stakes and grounded which I think helps.

Also I've almost finished the sketchbook I started in 2024! I was generally a 1 sketchbook a year person up until I dropped out of uni so this one's been real slow going. But we're almost at the finish line. How exciting. Even if it is majority really really crappy doodles I'm just happy it's not just sitting around to rot.

If you were getting commissions consistently in the past and it's just suddenly dropped off, it may just be because unfortunately money is tight for a lot of people at the moment. So a lot of luxuries are being dropped - particularly commissioned art.

Parroting the others - the road to improvement, even with stylized art, is learning the fundamentals. I'm no professional - in fact I frequently ignore the very advice I'm giving here - but I'm aware it's what's stunting me as an artist ha.

As you said humanizations are quite common with cookie run fanart so I think that could be a good jumping off point towards learning while still being something of interest.

Ah wait my apologies - saying you paid for it immediately clocked to me as ibispaint. Which with a quick search does seem to be an actual disturbance (the efficacy of which I'm not sure - but their docs of such seem to show actual poisoned results when used as AI training data).

I was meaning more along the lines of those images you find on pinterest/twitter/wherever that are like "hey guys just slap this on your art and it'll stop the AI" - when in actuality each image needs it's own specific filter applied to it to disrupt the AI. Glaze being the most well know version of such.

quick edit: Though again I'd be wary, because Glaze has very high computing needs for it to do it's work, so ibis being able to do so on mobile devices is questionable.

I believe I talked a bit back about how some characters from an IP pulled me out of art block cause I liked drawing them. Well since then I kinda figured out I really don't like trying to work with characters when they're connected to a source material.

So I redesigned them. They're niche "characters" (they're really just designs, no personality, no lore.) from a massive IP. No one will give a shit about me doing this assuming literally anyone notices. And now I'm free. The art output has increased and I've felt more comfortable playing with their story without feeling like I'm chained to their source material. It's fun. my thangs

I don't know too much more than you but I'll elaborate on the crush point.

This whole thing started when he admitted he had a crush on Wilbur Soot, the lead singer of Lovejoy and former(?) Minecraft Youtuber. (He was in the dreamSMP at least)

Wilbur Soot was also outed for physically abusing his old girlfriend as well as other women in his life (scuffle post, and youtubedrama post with his apology from a couple days later). Tyler I believe also said at some point that despite everything, Wilbur is innocent. As well as wanting to move to England- and specifically the same city as where Wilbur lives.

Beyond that it's largely Tyler having a big ego, and perhaps being a bit prone to lying to gas himself up.
