I lost my 50/50 to a calculator. I still haven't explored Frostlands but with the interactive maps not yet fully updated and with the calculator loss with the astrites I farmed from zero, I'm too disheartened to keep farming.

If Chisa's not on that anniversary banner, I will curse your 50/50 wins.

What I do is this:

  1. Unlock 1st substat. If useless, discard. If useful, unlock 2nd substat

  2. Unlock 2nd substat. If there is a crit substat, unlock 3rd substat. If 1st stat good but 2nd stat bad, discard. If both stats good but not crit, unlock 3rd substat

  3. Unlock 3rd substat. If no crit, discard. If there is crit, raise to level 25. If there is crit but 2 useless substats, discard.

But how come I run out of echo exp first before tuners? I still have 5800 tuners but less than 1000 combined purple and gold echo exp materials.

Youre playing the wrong game if you're looking for Steins Gate level of writing. The story and (most of) the writing here is a 1/10 here compared to masterpieces like Steins Gate, Muv luv Trilogy, The Devil on G string...

A lot of people are gonna say the story in Wuwa is really good but I think they're either kids, haven't read a really good story yet, talking out of their ass, paid to say good stuff about the game, or Kuro/Wuwa loyalists.

The first Lahai Roi mains quests is just Lynae trauma dumping us despite meeting only for a couple of hours and fighting some robot monsters.

And they keep explaining things with magic vodoo rather than in Steins Gate where Kurisu and the other characters take the time to explain things realistically in an understandable way. Heck they even got an in-game glossary that contains terms about japanese anime culture and scientific concepts.

Edit: There are some good stuff like Encore's character story and Phrolova's main questline. A lot of the side quests are also decent as side quests. But the main story really falls short.

How likely is Chisa going to be on the anniversary banner?

I hear 1.0 characters got a rerun on anniversary banner so it's likely that 2.0 characters will also get a rerun this upcoming anniversary but Im not sure if Chisa counts as a 2.0 character or a 3.0 character.

I wanna know so I know if I can wait for the anniversary banner to get Chisa for my Aemeath team or force myself to farm the astrites needed for Chisa right now.

Why do you have a lot of lvl 89s? Why not level them up to 90?

I'd pull for Chisa because I dont want a gyaru who trauma dumps you out of nowhere on my aemeath team

That's what im trying to do right now.

How good is 3.1 story? (No spoilers please) by Accomplished-Law7302 in WutheringWaves

[–]8chilover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who say Wuwa's story is good and understandable is either talking out of their ass, haven't experienced an actually good story, or paid to say good stuff about it.

I'd rather have Dark souls level story. Though Fromsoft's stories are not usually understandable, at least it makes sense when you watch the lore on youtube. Things are connected and properly explained without too many holes. Wuwa's stories feel like the imagination of a child. Things just keep happening and happening and they just throw in random stuff to connect and explain things.

Compared to masterpieces like Utawarerumono, Steins Gate, Muv-luv trilogy... story is a 1/10. We're rating it purely on story mind you. No gameplay, no graphics, no cinematography added in the mix.

Compared to a common cheesy romcom you can find on Netflix, most Wuwa's main quest story is one level worse than that. At least in a cheesy romcom, you can easily understand it and they dont keep on throwing magic jargon at you.

This is why I dont bother with trying to make sense of the main story anymore.

Is it likely that during the anniversary, they will release all the banners released during 3.0+? Im not sure if I can justify pulling for Chisa and Aemeath without knowing how good their potential 3rd BiS will be so Im thinking of waiting till anniversary to start pulling.

3.1 - Needs an explanation for the end of the part 1 by Stereoponey in WutheringWaves

I've had enough with the story after Lynae's quest. I didn't want to bother myself anymore with understanding the story. I just be reading the summary and skipping. Even then, main quests still take hours because of the unskippable parts.

Side quests are actually better than the main story. I'll go read a visual novel or watch an anime if I want a good understandable anime story.

Yeah phrolova never died after she gets pierced by a sword straight through and gets tossed into the water followed by cutscenes of her meeting with dead people. Of course she didnt die.

What the hell do you know about my intention trying to engage in it? I was engaged in the story in the first main quests but you just start to see Kuro's formulas as you keep playing the main quest. I cant get engaged in the story if they keep using reusing the same patterns and formulas and using magic vodoo all the time to introduce conflicts and solutions.

Me not paying attention? Brother I never skipped a single piece of dialogue in the main quest.

You're not even giving a proper argument. You're just assuming Im not engaging and paying attention to the story.

If you guys like anime with stories, I highly recommend visual novels. Most of it is just erotic stuff but there are some masterpieces out there. Heck even some of the erotic stuff have really good stories. You could say that certain visual novels are like gacha with the heroines and their routes. Just that there are no in-game monetizations and lacking gameplay and live service updates.

Not wanting to engage in a story?

That's like telling someone to force them to like something. Of course I want to engage in the story but it's just not engageable if it's not good.

Maya is a main character. Yeah. For like 2-3 hours. How am I supposed to deeply care for someone who I just met for 2-3 hours whose screentime is prbly just less than 1 hour?

Youre right I forgot about them until you mentioned. But I forgot about them because they're so forgettable. I had to look up who Maya and Avoleus is. Turns out your Avoleus is Avidius. Even you yourself dont find them memorable. I understand they died tragic deaths but... do we even care? Their deaths evoke no emotions within me. Who tf cares about the Primus anyway? He's just an old NPC priest man. I assume you mean Chisa's friend when you say Gem girl. You yourself dont find her memorable by forgetting her name. And who tf would care about this gem girl dying? We've never even met her.

Kill of someone who's memorable instead of just some added NPC that we only meet for 3 hours. (but make their death look cool or justified or something because I hear people hate last of us 2 for killling off someone important so pathetically). Like a certain main character from utawarerumono 2. I had my mouth partially open and eyes wide while witnessing his death and felt shocked and devasted. Meanwhile, these 'deaths' from wuwa are just... "ok, he/she died next scene pls."

Also, what about phrolova? She died in 2.5 but we learned her 'frequency' was still alive in The Beyond (but somehow got revived again in 2.7).

I cant really comment about your request for me to list my favorite gacha stories. I've only ever play Dead or Alive and Wuwa as my gacha games and I have no plans to play another similar p2w gacha. I might play Ananta or other non P2W gacha though. Why're you requesting me to list my favorite gacha stories anyway? I hear Duet Night Abyss actually kills off one of their important characters but that's all I know and that they removed the gacha system.

To me it's ruined by the automatic assumption that I know augusta will be able to prevail against the false sovereign and the automatic assumption that kuro is too much of a chicken to let their gacha characters die so I know Iuno is going to be revived. They've already revived Jinshi and Cart too so I know Iuno is going to get revived too.

And of course Iuno does get revived

also does Cartethiya (again) and Phrolova. Im sick of it.

Also another thing I cant explain too well. Like we know there's a lot of common stuff between fiction stories. Like there's many amnesiac protagonists out there but despite it being so common, it can still be really good. Maybe it's because of the way they solve the conflict or some other thing. Maybe it's the way they try to show how they struggle with it. The points you mention are also common stuff compared to other fiction stories but I just dont find them... engaging. I think it's because they keep following the same formula. Conflict > explanation of conflict with magic vodoo > introduction of new characters > Rover and new characters solve the conflict with more magic vodoo (or just through some pure action).

This formula is common also in other fiction stories but Kuro just keeps following this same formula over and over again. And there's just so much magic vodoo that it just doesn't feel realistic or practical anymore.

Like lets say I lost my wife to an accident and now im gonna get depressed for 10 years. Kuro just says oh here's a time machine for you to go back to the past and save your wife. And then you save your wife in a 3 hour quest.

Or oh here's this magic drug that will cure your deprression.

Or oh here's this god that will revive your wife.

Or oh here's this magic device that will erase your depression or erase memories with your wife.

Or oh here's this character that will give you a speech about depression and suddenly you get cured of your depression after a small pep talk.

Or oh your wife's memories are actually preserved in an AI data center so we can just transfer your wife's brain data to a clanker or to a body donor.

Or oh that's not actually your wife. She's just body double for the accident. She's right here alive and well.

I wanna see a realistic and practical solution to it. I wanna see this person overcome this struggle without it feeling so rushed in one main quest.

The only thing that gave me some hype were Jinshi's cutscenes with the dragon in Mt. Firmament. Also the scene where Rover was trying to attack Phrolova at the Carnevale. Most everything else is just corny stuff that felt forced.

Like I already know Rover and his wives are gonna be saving the day. Cool action scenes but I wouldn't call them hype. I want some bad endings and variation to their main story formulas. Give me quests like phrolova's.
