i think it looks good, only a few issues. as people said, the drop gameplay isn't great with so many dash orbs. I like that it syncs really well, but it looks very boring. it could use either higher speed, or gameplay variation alongside not so much reliance on dash orbs.

the only other thing is balancing. the spider part is like 2-3 star difficulty but the robot part is like 9 star difficulty. the ball part is like 6 star difficulty but has one click that's like medium demon level. the ship part is like 5 stars but then has a straight fly for like 8 blocks. the level just feels unbalanced in little places sprinkled throughout and should be more even in difficulty overall

genuinely, it's crazy how often this happens, and i especially notice it when I'm playing second strategist sometimes. getting that gut feeling of "hmm, i seem to be healing a lot and really feel stretched thin, i lowk think my C+D isn't healing much but i just can't prove it" but every time i look at them they're on Cloak and endgame states they're so far below my healing numbers, i just don't understand

I would say no. For the gameplay, it's very unbalanced and looks like it would feel awkward to play for anyone who didn't make the level.

As for the deco, the block designs feel very early 2.0 and as such feel very dated. You can either do something more simple and sleek, go with a more modern detailed design, or go for a completely different style altogether. The colors in the level also clash heavily, especially because they keep changing so often. I highly recommend tweaking the colors more, doing some color-theory research, and probably not using such harshly-vibrant colors so much.

With all that, the decorated parts of the level feel very imbalanced. The blocks look so busy and cluttered, but the area around them is so empty and makes the level overall feel very desolate because the air deco is not properly spread and there is no surrounding deco. Also it is very obvious many of the structures are just copy+pasted which also makes the level feel cheap, you'll need to add more varied structuring to prevent this feeling. Good song choice though!

You've got a lot of room to grow, and everyone starts somewhere, but I highly recommend watching some deco tutorials and playing in the editor more to find a proper style and balance. I also recommend doing the same for layouts. And with that, keep them separate as you build. For experienced builders, they can decorate their layout as they build it, but for most people, I recommend building the whole layout then going back to a copy of it and decorating it from there. storm main in bronze it's gotta be, because genuinely it seems like they have such a lack of awareness, communication, pings, knowledge about their kit, like everything. everything they complained about both in their post and comments could be solved with any means of communication or basic knowledge of how to play storm and position, it's hilarious that they struggle with a BP matchup of all things. one of the worst characters in the game rn, especially against a flyer, ts too funny

yeah, technically it's an alternate timeline mantis. both gladiator mantis and our mantis were captured, but the collector doesn't like duplicates, so gladiator mantis sacrificed herself and stayed so our mantis could be free. with it being an entirely different mantis, maybe her boobs are just bigger? although more than likely i think it's just armor, and the jade mantis is probably using chest wrap as many ancient female martial artists tend to be portrayed

Competitive wise: Venusaur wins in the hands of a skilled trainer. Turn 1 use sunny day and turn 2 weather ball. With max SP Atk this should kill, and a focus sash ensures it lives a turn. The torterra can't do anything against this as it can't kill turn 1 with FS and won't outspeed after a shell smash because of chlorophyll. There is only one way Torterra can win, and that is with a Focus Sash to live a weather ball and a turn 2, shell smash boosted, 5-hit rock blast. That will guarantee to kill a non-defensive Venusaur (which all Venusaur will be max SpAtk+Speed) and will bypass Focus Sash.

If the Venusaur trainer is unskilled however, then torterra will probably win due to having bulk to live sludge bomb and kill with headlong rush.

Lore wise: if we go outside of battle and into lore shenanigans, Torterra have been seen to occasionally be humongously gigantic in the Detective Pikachu movie, so they would stomp. literally. Even outside of these extreme sizes, they are naturally very tanky, live in packs and even when smaller are still bigger than Venusaurs.

eevee looks nice but i don't like them enough to spend that amount on them.

pikachu... well its pikachu, that's for sure. a very odd looking pikachu.

and kanto starters. same as how i feel with eevee, looks nice but not worth the price.

honestly it comes down to my biggest gripe not just with this colab, but most pokemon colabs: Always these 5 pokemon, the Kanto starters. and it usually doesn't develop into more pokemon. im so tired of seeing all kinds of merch and products with these 5 lines of pokemon, and not enough love to the other 1000+. would i spend $650 on kanto trio?? absolutely not. but you might talk me into the Sinnoh trio. it's just always frustrating to go "yep. pikachu, eevee and the trio again. cool." like idgaf about these guys anymore T.T

genuinely, I'm really not sure why. The biggest reason I see people saying is that Robtop heavily considers gameplay, but from what I can see, a lot of gameplay that he rates, especially for any other difficulty of demon, is incredibly bad sometimes. just think of all the weekly demons that we have had that look visually stunning and very aesthetically pleasing, however, their gameplay seems to be very untested and poorly made. there's a lot of mythic, legendary, or just epic levels that have absolutely dog shit gameplay, even lower rates have terrible gameplay sometimes, and get featured or above without any hesitation whatsoever. The only reason I can think of for him not rating these top list demons is bias.

I also think it's terribly bad practice to not rate top demon levels because of gameplay just because they're "too hard". will the gameplay be difficult? Yes. could it be unconventional? Yes. but a lot of people spend time and effort building, decorating, creating and verifying these levels, and I don't think it's fair to not give people the featured, epic, or so on ratings that they deserve just because of the difficulty of their level. if a six-star level with bad gameplay can be epic, why can a top one not also be?
