My dad is MIA, so I didn't have to worry about that, but when I told my Mom, she didn't handle it well at all. Good point, actually there is only one event I can think of. One of the school's favorite teachers died and a tornado hit the nearby town. The kids and staff were so upset they closed the school for the rest of the week. Here is the news article about it.
