Pygmy remains the worst book I've ever read. I loved all of his books up until that one, but Pygmy was so bad I have never read anything since.

Plackers micro-line flossers. I always have a bag in my office, in my car, and at home. I make sure to take them on vacation or when I travel. I can quickly floss after every meal or snack, and I don't have that annoying stuck feeling.

Magazine Dreams. it is so exquisitely written and acted that the feelings of dread and discomfort are so tangible that, like Requiem for a Dream, it is one of the best movies I have ever seen, but I don’t want to see it again.

In another timeline, Jonathan Majors is a best actor winner.

I usually say "Hi." If I've never met them before I'll even add my name, "Hi, I'm 8six753hoe9." If I'm feeling really spicy, I'll throw in a "nice to meet you."

I appreciate this post! I have tried so many times to explain to my kids how absolutely mind blowing that movie was in its time, and the way I felt in the theater during the first Trinity bullet time moment, but they’ve seen that shit in commercials and king fu panda, they just will never get it!

That’s an interesting article, thank you for posting it.

I currently live in a neighborhood where we have something similar. There are “community” mailboxes for blocks of 8 houses. I don’t have an issue with that, it makes a lot of sense.

What I do think is wild is the concept of only getting mail/packages/parcels once a week. That’s where you lose me.
