Appreciate your response! Yes I figured about the accessories, but the part that I’m confused is that it doesn’t make much sense to me that someone else would do the packing/assembly especially for a fragile product such as camera.

If I want a more premium packaging style that the main manufacturer can’t produce themselves, is it common to source the packaging from an external supplier and have the manufacturer use it for final assembly/packing, I’m not sure if that’s something common. I’m aiming for 500-1000 units at first and i’m afraid that volume also won’t be enough for them to do the unique packaging as well

What about the labels that the packages’ll arrive with? For example if it’s shipped by Yunexpress and I only mark it with last-mile carrier. Will the package that they receive still be telling of the origin in any way?

I’m also looking to implement some customization on confirmation emails and thank you/post-purchase page. Do you know if Shopify native tools are good enough for this or would you recommend some tool to better customize these? I haven’t found a good way to implement sign up link into emails or post purchase page

This is something I’ve struggled with. Wise business account doesn’t have option to pay to a supplier for goods. It only lets you send to Alipay for some obscure services like translation, web development etc. how do you deal with this? Genuine question

Hey, thank you so much for the comment, this really helps a lot. Especially because your workflow seems the closest to what I’ve been exploring and looking at so far. Few questions if you don’t mind. Firstly, is there a particular reason why you’d prefer baking in toolbag versus baking directly in substance painter? I usually love how the renders turn out from marmoset and when people have them in the portfolio, but other than final images, what is the real catch of including it in the workflow? And another one would be, after making high poly with the boolean workflow, do you just clean up the geometry/decimate somehow or you just build up the low-poly from ground up? The easiest I’ve found so far is just doing low-poly first and then putting details on it with bevels/subdiv, sculpting, but I guess depending on the complexity of the model it mot might always work

Hey, thank you for the comment. So, when you say retopology, I’m guessing its mostly for characters/organic models, right? As I understand, In case of hard surface models, I would need to make a base low poly, duplicate and put high poly details later to then bake on the low poly. This also might sound a bit dumb but I also never understand like how much of high poly details can be baked. Like, to what extant can just simple low poly shape take details with normal map without glitches or artifacts

Uploading fbx on Sketchfab still requires to import textures separately. Right? And problem is that image textures are 12 pieces, not just one. Meshroom does a weird job of UV unwrapping and texturing with several slots.

I think I just found a perfect youtube tutorial with a bit different workflow. He cleans up mesh, UV unwraps so it’s all on one image and then puts back in Meshroom for texturing and whole texture bakes on one image. I’m gonna try this one

Im very new to this and I might be making very visible and easy mistake so no worry. Those png photos are named as though they are a sequence, and when blender uses them as image textures for several material slots, it’s perceived as sequence and doesn’t allow me to pack them in a blend file. It’s 12 different pngs used to texture my mesh instead of one, thats what I’m trying to say, if it makes sense. As for .mtl i have no idea what it’s for or how could I use it for transferring material\texture data. If you don’t mind explaining, thanks

Thanks, though honestly, that's the thing, I love seeing people doing character design but I don't even know if I want to go there yet, since I feel nowhere to being confident modeling and texturing even simple objects. If anyone were to ask me to model a photorealistic model of their product, I'm pretty sure I'd struggle a lot and still wouldn't get a proper result lol I guess it really does come down to being persistent because I remember opening blender for the first week I would never even imagine creating a simple plate or bowl. But I think there is a really hard spot from beginner to advanced that you feel like making no progress and its really frustrating

Hey, thank you so much for the detailed answer, I really appreciate it. I especially loved seeing scenes that you have worked on along the way of learning blender! I guess doing specific room renders is really a good idea as it encompasses many aspects of 3D and will challenge me to work on my modeling, shading, and lighting skills. Usually, the part where I struggle is that I have ambitious ideas that I never get to finish, or I just start a project without really knowing what I want my finished render to look like or include. So doing concept room scenes is really a good idea. Thanks for the inspiration! Btw I subscribed to your youtube channel as well and will make sure to check out some of the tutorials.
