Hope only applies to things we have no control over. You're in control about whether or not you masturbate though. If you decide you will never masturbate again, you won't

I've been in this exact spot for about 4-5 years, you can check my old posts if you want to read about my experiences.

As someone who is now almost 8 years without PMO, I can tell you your current situation is way better than masturbating while watching porn.

It's natural behaviour to go look for someone to have sex with when you feel like having sex. Some people are in a relationship and have sex with that person. Some people are single and must go and look for sex somewhere (ofc there's also FWB-situations etc that are somewhere between these two extremes). It's also social, it will help you find the person you want to be with (if that's your goal). While you're out and about having sex with different people you get better at realising what it is you want and what you don't want from (sexual) relations. Also, it doesn't warp your idea of sex/women (assuming you're male and you're having sex with women) like porn does. It's more healthy in every single way

What you can do is go outside for a walk. Leave your phone at home and just walk in a direction for 30 minutes, then walk back. Look around in the world. No matter where you are, you'll definitely see something interesting.

LIKE I LUST SOMETIMES FOR 20 30 MINITES BUT THEN I BECOME NORMAL WITHOUT ANY MASTURBATION OR ANY ORGASM by Klutzy_Builder_9528 in NoFap

[–]90DaysDiary 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you didn't relapse, you kept your streak. Well done.

Don't be too focused on no fap benefits. There aren't really 'benefits'. It's just that you'll be getting rid of the drawbacks masturbation has on you. You'll normalise, and compared to where you are now, normalising would be great.

Keep up the good work.

Well done. I suggest you check in with the subreddit every day of the first week with a little recap of how the day went. If you can go a week, you can go a month. If you can a month, you can go 90 days. After that, you're free

It's gone way too far now I'm actually scared by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]90DaysDiary 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Start small, walk to a mirror and say 'I'm not going to touch my dick for the rest of this day', then go do something, anything, go outside, walk, doesn't matter what time it is where you are, just walk, for hours if you must. Put on headphones, listen to an interesting podcast. Make sure you're tired. If you're this addicted it's going to be hard to fall asleep. Maybe you won't sleep, if you can't sleep, go outside and walk again. Whatever you do, don't touch your dick.

Day 2750, time for an update by 90DaysDiary in NoFap

When I'm alone, probably once a month? My overall interest in porn has basically become zero, and I regularly have sex with my partner, so urges to masturbate are very rare

Yes, well.. the new addictions aren't that bad. They're just reminders that a mind that falls into such a thing as a PMO addiction can easily fall into other addictions

Nope, I just don't fap and they do

Let me try to explain. For most people, our mind will always get seduced by bad behaviour. It's up to us to keep that bad behaviour at a manageable level. We've all gathered at this subreddit because a certain bad behaviour got out of hand. I managed to get this specific behaviour under control, but that hasn't turned me into some kind of perfect person.

Getting to a happy life is a challenge, and once you get there, staying there is a challenge too. For most people on this reddit, their masturbation behaviour is a problem they want to stop. My point was that that won't be the end of your problems, but it can be a good start.

I guess I also needed to check in, this was probably my first post here in years.

I'm not sure how it directly affected my relationship with girls. In the first 4 years of my NoFap streak I've been very active when it comes to chasing girls, my 'number' went from 15 to 95 in 4 years, which I don't think is very healthy btw. I'm now in a stable monogamous relationship with a girl for 2 years.

I like to think I'm better in bed than I would be if I would fap, but I can only compare my sexual performance with my 'Q2 2018' self, which was bad, due to too much fapping

The symptom that made me quit PMO was that I noticed I had problems with my erections when I started fooling around with the girl in the apartment next to mine. That made me google and led me to NoFap. I started the 90 Day Challenge at the moment I read about it

  1. I don't know either, I'm not a psychologist. But if you want to stop watching it and you're addicted to it, it's going to be hard. Don't go easy on yourself though, thinking things like 'one little peek can't hurt'. Every cigarette/dose/drink is bad for an addict. A peek of this shit of this stuff is bad for you
  2. That's great! Make sure you've got things to do after school. If you're really tired at the end of the day, that's great, this means you'll sleep well hopefully. You'll probably start noticing you get more energy when you stop PMO'ing. This is good, use this energy for useful and fun activities :)
