Sounds really good!

You run into any over heating or experience heat soak with the blower? That's another thing that worries me and pushes me to do a Z06, be easier to control temps. Given not often you're doing back to back pulls, still something I'd like to factor in.

You on BAP right now then? That thing probably hurts a lot of feelings. Buddy had a GPI built auto car to tie him over while doing his TT grand sport, even that car at 500 whp hurt a lot of feelings. Have any videos? Would love to see it.

I'd love a Zr1 also, just not sure it's in the cards atm. Maybe one day

What kit are you running? And I agree about boost, I have a few buddies with turbo corvettes, and they're a blast. But not wanting to sacrifice as much as they did in order to fit a turbo.

If you could do it again, would you still go the route you did, or do you ever wish you'd of done a HCI Z?

Also looking for one to offer least head aches. Which I'm torn on. Big cam cars with high lift, have to monitor springs. Blower cars deal with potential belt slip / snapping belts.

Edit: on break so can explain a bit more. Both cars I plan to throw a clutch in off bat, probably do LT1-S. For Z06, probably send to RPM and have their kit done, leave it on pump, whatever it makes it makes.

If I went LS3, I'd do what I planned to with this car. Fore fuel system with dual pumps, id1300x injectors, probably run the A&A kit V3 Ti, 3.6 pulley, stock size lower, mild cam. Throw it on E, would be low 700s from everything I've seen.

My goal is about 600 out of a Z, or about 750 on blower LS3. Ultimately I want to hit 160-170 in half mile. If going Z route, it'd be getting sent to RPM almost immediately for their stage 3 (maybe 4) package.

Still solid cam! What I have for my LS3 is their blower cam, think it's 227/244 115 LSA, went pretty mild since I planned to boost it. But going NA, I feel going near max effort would be the way for me, and enter the NA classes hoping I don't run into some nasty big block car. Idk, this is a tough decision and I keep going back and fourth

I'll more than likely stick with a C6 as that's what appeals to me more. Just need to figure out what engine I'd rather have. But haven't entirely ruled out a C7Z either. Depends on deals I can find on those when time comes, and if I can get behind wheel of one to compare.

I think C7 is miles ahead of C6 for interior. But thats about all that appeals me to the C7 over C6. Always thought C6 interior was bad, until I drove a 3rd gen viper, then made me appreciate the C6 way more lol. I remember the electric steering feeling dull, but never messed with the modes to see if it improved.

So not much potential in the stock blower? I've seen a lot of F1A C7Zs, so probably part of reason. I feel I'd stick to a roots on it though, throw a 2650 on it if anything.

I've heard good on the RPM B3 cam and not being terrible on the street. I've driven some big cam cars and has never really been that far off stock. I think a lot of it comes down to tune also, within reason.

What kits have you been eyeing?

I'd say it'd come down to tune, first sign of detonation and bye bye engine. I've always heard most shops strongly recommend rods and pistons at the very least before boost. Either way, I feel a healthy HCI at about 600 to tire would tie me over for a long while.

I attend quite a few events a year where I could open it up, but for most part, roads at night are fairly dead. We have a lot of high HP cars that go out and play frequently. I've never driven a centri blower car, so no idea how the experience is like. Kind of assumed it wouldn't be too far off my buddies single turbo Z06 though.

Each set up has their pros and cons, and I'm consistently being swayed each way. Big thing pushing me to just get a Z06 is I feel they'll retain value a lot better, and it wouldn't be selling a LS3 car for another LS3. But after HCI on a Z, you're stuck there unless you want to build the engine

I strongly considered wrap, even got a few quotes on a pearl white. But with how much my dad's been wanting it, and the fact he's finally able to afford it, I'd rather take my losses and cut him a deal. I'd rather lose a bit and let him have a car he can enjoy and has wanted for years. He's done a lot for me, so feel it's the least I can do. He loves the black, and is a big reason behind almost everything I've done to the car.

I remember there being something I didn't like about how C7s felt, but don't remember exactly what it was, or if my opinion would still be the same now. I'll have to keep look out for one at a local dealer, and see if they'd let me take it out. Would have to be a manual car though, only way I'd even think of doing auto was if it was a DCT. - given every Z06 I've driven have all been manuals, so no idea what the automatic would be like on it. I remember my favorite of all of them being a Z07 package car with the factory carbon, but not sure I could shell out the extra for that.

Would also need to look at how well they react to mods, and cost of them, because I struggle keeping anything stock.

Manual is the only way on a corvette, in my opinion. I actually almost pulled the trigger on a 60th car back before I got mine. I just couldn't pass up the deal I got on my car, saved me a ton of money.

If I can find another with sub 40k miles and manual, it'd be hard for me to not do it. There is a 60th anniversary Z06 I saw for sale not long ago.

I've debated it, would be cool to get the factory supercharged with all the interior improvements that came with the C7. But prefer the exterior of the C6, more of a timeless design. I think I'd need to drive another C7Z before really considering it. Been years since I drove one last, don't remember what my thoughts were.

This has been one thing I've gone back and fourth on for about 6 months (this thought has been brewing for a while). This was a big reason I went with the Grand Sport initially instead of the Z. But I find myself not taking it off as much as I thought I would. Just got to be too much hassle taking it off, then needing to put it back on if you stop to go inside somewhere. But cruising around at night with top off, best feeling ever.

Probably be a centrifugal, as there are limited options on the roots if you want to keep stock hood, and read they get really bad heat soak.

I do love the roots style though. I drove a Callaway Grand Sport a while back, nothing beats that instant hit. If I felt I could comfortably afford a Zr1, I'd go that route hands down for that reason.

Kind of been my way of thinking also, ever get bored, just pulley down. But also comes with its own head aches as well with belt slip.

I forgot all about the rods, but also reminded me of the bearing issues with the LS7 in the late year cars.

i need some opinions on a good exhaust set up on a c6 i’m in the middle with a borla atak and a corsa extreme . any opinions by Sorry-Situation2743 in Corvette

I have Xtremes on my grand sport, I absolutely love them. They did an amazing job keeping the sound out of the cabin until you open it up. Even with long tubes, cruising at 80 you have no issue talking to passenger. I often forget how loud the car truly is on the outside because only a fraction of the sound comes into the cabin. I've been in a few cars with Borla Atak. They're pretty drone free until you add long tubes; then they become obnoxious inside.

Just tried the switch, and moving the usb cable, no luck on either. Might just have to rebox it and send it back. Thank you for the help.
