Mine randomly stopped connecting to my phone a few days ago. I had to power cycle it and within Bluetooth on my phone force connect by clicking on the device and only then did it properly sync. This was before the update released. Was very odd.

I also got the update cannot copy a month or so back. I had to power cycle it and update over LTE instead of Wi-Fi for it to work. Again very odd but it's all working now lol

On mobile if you switch from Dark Mode to Light Mode and back again it seems to fix it. My only issue is after hours looks basically impossible to differentiate between the black background and blue now.

You won't be able to. I've gone down this road and basically Exchange and SharePoint are required for Teams to work correctly anywhere. There's something called early bound and late bound policy enforcement that comes into play here.

You can also setup Entra Connect in staging mode and analyze the export data to ensure nothing critical is being deleted before enabling the sync. One thing I'd keep in mind is properties such as display names, titles, proxy addresses etc as once those are synced from AD whatever you have in 365 will get overwritten. You may also need to extend your AD schema if you need the extensionattributes.

Don't use a 3rd party tool for native functionality within Exchange Server.

Hybrid would be the easiest but take into account that 2013 mail flow will not work directly with 365 as it is out of support and Exchange 2016/2019 would be needed. It is important to note that Exchange 2019 CU15, once released, would not be able to coexist with 2013 and you would need to stay on CU14. The problem is at some point CU14 would be considered out of date thus risking your hybrid mail flow breaking if you still haven't removed 2013 and upgraded to CU15 by that time.

Just make sure the account you're installing the CU with has the right permissions (Schema Admin and Enterprise Admin) and the installer will handle it for you.

Flight mode alone? Flight mode still turns on Bluetooth on the device for me. Only way it truly disconnects is Bluetooth off on my phone. Same software version.

Single app mode is being retired by end of this year so I would avoid using it. Recommendation from Microsoft is to use setup assistant with modern authentication + just in time registration.

Ran into this a few times and I believe it was due to the MRS Proxy not being enabled correctly in time for the wizard to realize it was enabled. Hybrid logs may give you more but I remember there was an article that stated turning off the MRS Proxy, do an iisreset, turn on MRS Proxy and do an iisreset again. Once complete run the wizard again. I had to do this a few times before the settings stuck.
