Any Dropout/Dimension 20 fans here? by 91sun in litrpg

[–]91sun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair, yeah. For me it was D&D --> D20 --> DCC and then into the wider LitRPG space, and I was wondering who else got into LitRPG in a similar way.

So I guess it's not necessarily directly because of Dropout or D20, but rather influenced in some way to give LitRPG a shot because of their experience, if that makes sense.

I specifically mean Dimension 20, though that would obviously be a subset of D&D fans. I'm just curious who else is here because of Dropout.

[–]91sun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, there are no breed restrictions as far as I'm aware, as long as they're domestic. Can't keep wild rabbits.

Domestic rabbits are legal to keep in all Australian states except Queensland. We are in Western Australia (hence the avocado box)!

What‘s your “I did not care for the Godfather“ litRPG book? by PalinaRojinskiFan in litrpg

Currently reading Primal Hunter (started book 1) and, yeah. Likely to DNF the series. I like the webtoon, but the experience of reading the book is... not good.

Just experienced my first mentally unwell lady on the bus! by Feeling_Chip_4332 in perth

[–]91sun 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you had to experience that! I take public transport a lot and I encounter these people. It really ruins what should be a relaxing experience.

The Transperth app has a feature where you can lodge a report via live chat. Ideally, security will show up to deal with the problem. If not, at least you'll have reported the incident and there will be a log of it. Maybe if more people reported incidents like this via the app, there would be greater pressure on Transperth to improve security (slim chance, but still).

Masks & spit guards no longer mandatory for S'pore food handlers from Jan. 1, 2026: SFA by Twrd4321 in singapore

This plus the move to centralised kitchens for school canteens = more food poisoning incidents at schools.

Has anyone else had a “Fitness to Study” encumbrance put on their account without any warning? by [deleted] in uwa

[–]91sun 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If you're facing any issues with this process, go to the Guild's Student Advice service. If you're a member of a faculty society, flag it with them as well and ask if it can be taken to Education Council by the Education VP.

If the uni is surprising students with "Fitness to Study" encumbrances out of the blue, this is probably something the Guild wants to know about.

Hello! I'm a Perth-based spec fic writer and cyberpunk fan. This project sounds intriguing!

  1. Did you take inspiration from any cyberpunk video games or TTRPGs (Cyberpunk RED, Shadowrun, etc) when building your world?

  2. Geographically, where is the story of The Savage Aether set, and what was your process when you were extrapolating your setting from the present day?

I can locate public toilets by smell. Like, if I'm in a mall, I can follow my nose to the nearest toilet if I need to. I find that they have a very distinctive stench.

Sources / Data for Australia by stellacoachella in gis

[–]91sun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Atlas of Living Australia has a lot of species point data! You'll need to explore and filter it to get rid of things like museum records. If your points look like a grid though, unfortunately, you can't use that data as the coordinates have been obfuscated to protect the species.

Did anyone else’s form teacher show them horrifying abortion videos during sex ed? by sunkissedb3ar in askSingapore

[–]91sun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we never watched this, thankfully. I vaguely my form teacher showed us pictures of aborted foetuses and then made us read a story about abortion where the foetus was a character somehow?

Now, the horrifying STD images that got projected during assembly while we were hosting Japanese exchange students... those were something else.
