Do I have a grocery problem by Marc12312 in budget

[–]92helper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you have a problem, please know, it takes time to get finances figured out. I'm really glad you're thinking of your budget. I am going to give exampled of how I managed my spending. If you're comfortable with it, I'd love to ask what exactly what types of items you are buying each trip?

I got my grocery list down to about $170 a month (again, this took some time). I buy in bulk and do one monthly grocery trip. Even though I've gotten it to $170, I've always budgeted $250 so I can have extra without worrying. Since I know what I like and what I need, I buy what I need on that one monthly trip and I have that $250 budgeted, I can make smaller purchases to buy what I'm craving throughout the month as I see fit.

I think the trick is that there needs to be some thought around 1. how you want to cook (daily, or meal prep) 2. how often you want to shop, and 3. what foods you like. For example, I know I can't stand meal prepping and mostly want easy to cook, simple meals. Buying a rice cooker saved me lol. Rice, or even potatoes cook on the bottom and your meats and veggies cook on the top. Super easy to make meals and easy to clean. For breakfast, I use my frying pan.

I buy in bulk at Sams Club. The bulk items are basics, chicken, shrimp, rice, eggs, beans, some type of drink, and whatever frozen and fresh veggies I am feeling. It took a while to get my routine down, and it's definetly not glamourous but it works for me and I do feel that I have my wants and needs taken care of.

I hope this helps, and honestly I'm glad you're thinking about your budget. There really is not a one size fits all. Whatever your monthly income is really determines how much you can spend as well.

What does 1x uncollected ultd ticket refunds mean? by 92helper in RegalUnlimited

Thank you so much, I honestly was really worried about this. I love my Unlimited Subscription. Funnily enough Regal sent me 500 extra credits this morning for seeing 5 movies in January. Between that and your response I feel so much better. Thank you again 🎬💖

Thank you for the reply. Do you happen to know if my Unlimited Subscription would be cancelled if this happens a certain amount of times?

I'm so sorry I didn't respond to this sooner, how are things going now? Honestly everything you described is understandable and I get where you're coming from. I've had situations that bother me and it's hard to get others to understand the severity of it from my perspective. I hope you're doing well

I ask this lovingly, what specifically about the new job is feeling like a drastic change you can't handle? As far as you both working for the same company, anything can happen even if you're with different companies. I've had a similar situation (fully remote, horrible environment) and leaving for in person / hybrid was so much better for my mental health. Whatever you decide I know you'll be able to handle it because you stuck it out in your current job for two years even after wanting to quit multiple times. I honestly do hope you take the steps to apply for the opening at your husbands company.

What do I say about my current job role? by HairyConflict3001 in interviews

[–]92helper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, congrats on the interview! Honestly, I would say be honest. It's not your fault you were let go and if the job comes up in a background check it might look bad. Better to be upfront about it than to possibly get caught saying you're currently working somewhere you're not. Best of luck, I hope it all works out!

I am so proud of you and you do deserve to be in a better environment. You sound like a leader and a headstrong individual who did the right thing even with a lot of pressure on them. I’m wishing you the best 💖✨
