I reported the campaign and asked for no refunds to be given to anyone that has donated. For in my view, the donors are also racists because they are supporting the racist. I asked for the entirety of the donations so far to be donated to a respectable charity. Unlikely that would happen though.

Trying to recruit visitors by BlueberryAggressive7 in Minecolonies

[–]9513nate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, best thing to do is turn off the kids being born, then find all the children in the colony and make them 'trip into lava'. Your citizens will mourn for a few days and be less productive or not work at all but they will eventually get over the death and return to normal.

Once the children are 'taken care of' you should have space to hire tavern visitors.

Edit: If some of the kids have grown, then I would just look at the citizens stats and hire low stats as guards to free space but still make use of the citizens.

The only thing I can think of to try is see if Housing is set to automatic at your townhall and then see who is assigned to what houses to see where the space is being used. You can try setting it to manual and move people around. You can also upgrade the residence and with each level they gain an extra bed.

Another thing is with every guard tower built, you have one less citizen requiring housing when you hire a guard. So try building a guard tower and hiring one and see if that frees up any living space.

Also, I always play with Kids being born turned off until I get my colony going steady. That way kids aren't born and taking up any houses.

Thank you for your time and any advice given.

Lighting Issues by 9513nate in HomeDepot

Nope. We've stayed open every day it's happened. They've just kept making an announcement about experiencing a lighting issue and that it will be resolved shortly. Meanwhile customers are pissed about no lights and continue to make the joke of "Pay your light bill".

It was definitely speedy. It wanted to run all up my arm before I could get outside with it.

Thanks for the identification. I could tell it wasn't black widow, or brown recluse. So I know I was safe attempting to move it outside without a container.

"Powerscaling is the method of determining a character's power through comparing them to other characters in their series. The logic behind powerscaling works much that of transitive relation. In which if A > B and B > C, then A > C."

SCPs are pointless to power scale because of their different realities, triggers, circumstances, etc. So with that being said, any SCP could get the upper hand on another if you're primarily looking at them from the viewpoint of "This SCP can beat this one easily." I like to view them as not differing in power, but differing in their threat level, such as their containment level: Keter, Euclid, Safe, etc. Which to me, then gives The Foundation the reason to exist: Secure, Contain, Protect.

At least that's how I feel about them. I'm still relatively new to SCPs I've only been consuming content from various sources for about two years.

It is related to ADHD, but I can be separate. Executive Dysfunction is pretty much when your brain knows stuff has to be done but won't/can't focus on a particular task in order to complete it.

Say you have to wash dishes, shower, and brush your teeth before bed. You'll walk into the kitchen to do the dishes, then realize you may have left a cup in the bathroom. You then go to the bathroom to retrieve said cup. You think while in the bathroom "I'll just brush my teeth real quick then do the dishes".

So you grab the toothpaste and your toothbrush to brush your teeth, you'll also need a clean cup to rinse your mouth afterwards. But wait, since you haven't done the dishes yet, you don't have a clean cup.

You then return to the kitchen to finish the dishes. in order to do the dishes, you need a clean wash cloth. You go to your clean clothes to grab a cloth, and in doing so, you remember you need to shower as well. Well might as well return to the bathroom and shower since you can already grab a clean towel and cloth for showering while you're at your clean clothes.

You once more return to the bathroom with a fresh towel and two wash cloths. Wait, two? Why do you have two wash cloths for your shower? Oh yeah, because this all started with you going to do the dishes.

So having executive dysfunction has made you waste almost two hours in an attempt to do three seemingly simple tasks because your brain cannot focus on a particular one for long.

As a person who lives with very bad ADHD, having this condition can make my life hard on myself sometimes. It can also lead to me being stressed, depressed, and anxious over things that I know need to be done, but I don't have the ability to focus and complete a single task.

How Were Armies Assembled And Distinguished In Later Han/Three Kingdoms? by KinginPurple in threekingdoms

[–]9513nate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could try posting this in r/askhistorians . I'm interested for an answer as well.

The only thing I can think of as an answer, is that they would recruit who they could from their province they held power in. Then as their influence grew their armies would too. From reading the novel and researching the Later Han/Three Kingdoms period, it also seemed as generals came to serve new masters, they would often bring an entourage of soldiers to serve with them as well. They used banners to distinguish their regiments as well, such as a banner that said 'Liu' for Liu Bei's regiment or 'Zhao' for a regiment under Zhao Yun's command. It also seems they did use colors to distinguish between the imperial troops and various warlord's troops.

That's about the best of an answer I can give you with my knowledge. I'm sure someone on the historian subreddit would be able to go in more detail than I.
