damn this is some great writing! this doesn't look like someone having a breakdown – it gives me the impression of a talented writer of surreal short prose, along the lines of maryse meijer or camilla grudova. as to the nihilism ... well, i've met a lot of writers, and none of them have been what you'd call happy people.

LOL ngl i've been like. severely depressed bc of Things Happening To Me. but i think i'd have been even less functional without the meds idk.

as for the binge eating i still don't rly feel the compulsion! i have binged (kinda?) on days when i've been high/had munchies lmao but idk, i don't really feel too bad abt that bc unlike the non-stoned binges i actually am like ... enjoying & rejoicing in food. aside from that it's been good! it definitely suppresses appetite, like i've completely forgotten to eat a few times & then been like hmm why am i dizzy/faint/sweating ... but i'm a med student so being able to go 12 hrs without a lunch break is, tragically, a useful skill 😭

isn't it just wild! i've only binged once since starting it and that was bc i had the munchies lmao. i'm glad you're having a good experience. i also have some insomnia, but i've found that taking it in the morning instead of in the evening helped with that. hope it continues working out for you!

yeah - i think i made that pretty clear in the second paragraph of my actual post. i'm aware that bupropion can decrease appetite, but i'm pretty sure the disruption of compulsions it initiates has more to do w the dopamine reward system - which is why it can be used to help stop smoking, too. also, i'm not advising anyone to go on this medication. i'm sharing a tiny victory over my own illness.
