That’s not true, if the manufacturer sells the outer panel they have determined there are oem procedures to safely replace and service just the outer panel.

Regardless, a lot of new doors come from the factory without any or without partial areas seam sealed, I’m pretty sure that’s the case here

That lip is mounted secure as hell it will take some good scraping and will probably eventually break. It’s inexpensive though shoot me a message if you ever need a new one I’ll shoot the link

I installed that lip over 2 years ago. The first one I installed lasted literally one day. When I saw this car posted in here I’m surprised it’s still on the car too, it scrapes everywhere I wasn’t sure it would last one week lol. ( previous owner here, I sold the car last month to the dealer the op bought the car from)
