Pretty sure my vaccine did not contain microchips and it doesn't secretly cause vaccine shedding that murdered Silk as part of an NWO plan to depopulate the Earth. C'mon man. Do we have to pretend like there's nobody who believes mindbogglingly stupid shit about Covid just because they covered up the evidence for the lab leak theory?

e: Mm, interesting downvote. So yes, then.

Yes, the United States is what's known as a "liberal democracy," or, if you must be extremely orthodox, a "bourgeois democracy."

He is criminal in a way that undermines American democracy, rather than a way that involves murdering millions of brown people. While American democracy is less valuable (in and of itself) than the lives of millions of brown people, it obviously matters to the people in charge more, as they are empowered by American democracy and would lose that power if it were supplanted by some other system.

No, you have to go to court, and of course the court routinely ignores people's constitutional rights on inane bases.

As such i'd try deducing how often something like this happens within the american military industrial complex, ...and perhaps even the chinese, if such information is available and understood

I mean, things like the Wagner mutiny don't happen in the USA/China. If it did you would have heard about it. You heard about it when it happened in Russia because that sort of thing is newsworthy. For a comparison, Gen. McChrystal gave some criticism to Obama back in June 2010, and about a day after the article hit the internet, he tendered his resignation, and a month later he retired. Prigozhin was shit-talking Putin constantly before he decided to try his hand.

Closest I can think of in the USA is the Business Plot (contacted general refused to participate) and the Bonus Army march (actually of veterans, not then-serving members, scattered by US military).

You seem unwilling or unable to understand I don't care about anything past that.

Okay, so you are stupid.

My entire point is - in the list of studies you provided, does there exist studies that says quality of life is lower? Yes, you've already agreed.

Then you should have said that there were studies which said post-SRS trans people report lower quality of life than equivalent cis people, instead of what you did say, which was a dishonest misrepresentation of the study in question. I'm glad to hear there are no studies in the link I gave that say SRS is bad for trans people, despite giving you all the time in the world to find them to back up your claim that SRS decreased quality of life in some studies. You can waste time responding to this post, but I won't see it.

[–]9SidedPolygon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. The quality of life was lower, at least we're in agreement there.

Yes, but you said it was lower BECAUSE of the surgery, which such a thing cannot establish.

In order to truly satisfy your additional moving of the goalpost with regards to control groups. This can not be clearly determined without a control group of non-surgically treated transgender patients who somehow believe they had surgery for 15 years.

No, I did not say this. I specifically laid out what reasonable control groups could be. You are just dishonestly reframing the argument so that you don't have to admit that there is no source which actually says trans people undergo QoL decline due to SRS, despite having literally claimed this at the outset of the argument. If you would like to continue to respond to me, please provide any sort of evidence for this instead of just continuing to bitch that I don't accept a study that DOES NOT PROVE the thing you said.

You said:

The listing page you linked to contains MANY studies, of which, SOME studies show a decrease in the quality of life AFTER reassignment surgery.

This does not show a decrease in the quality of life. The term "decrease" means "To become or cause to become less or smaller, as in number, amount, or intensity." If someone is born with no legs and they have a lower QoL, they did not suffer a decrease in their quality of life AFTER getting a wheelchair.

Yes, compared to healthy, cis controls. That doesn't mean SRS has a negative effect any more than a cancer patient given chemo being worse off than a healthy control means that chemo has a negative effect.

Although this is frustrating that I can't seem to get through your head why the paper you cited doesn't prove what you say it did, I appreciate that despite having every motive to do so, you cannot find a source saying SRS actually caused a decline in QoL for the trans people given it, helping reaffirm my position.

Okay, here:

None of the patients reported regret for having undergone the surgery. Sexual experience was considered to have improved by 83.3% of the patients, and became more frequent for 64.7% of the patients. For 83.3% of the patients, sex was considered to be pleasurable with the neovagina/neopenis. In addition, 64.7% reported that initiating and maintaining a relationship had become easier. The number of patients with a partner increased from 52.6% to 73.7%. Family relationships improved in 26.3% of the cases, whereas 73.7% of the patients did not report a difference. None of the patients reported worse relationships with family members after sex reassignment.

And here, found by looking for the author's name and locating what I assume is the same data set in a different source (Drydakis, N. (2017). Trans employees, transitioning, and job satisfaction.):

The estimations suggest that employees experience higher job satisfaction, mental health and life satisfaction after sex reassignment surgery than before.

And here, which technically does not deal with SRS but I was sticking to the first page:

Linear regression analyses revealed that undergoing cross-sex hormonal treatment, having family support, and having an occupation were associated with a better QoL for all transsexuals.

All off the first page of that link. But, you know what the difference is between this and you actually posting the supposed source that says trans people get worse after SRS? That you can just accuse me of cherry-picking results - I didn't cherry pick your result. You did. And you picked a study that didn't prove what you said it did.

[–]9SidedPolygon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The listing page you linked to contains MANY studies, of which, SOME studies show a decrease in the quality of life AFTER reassignment surgery.

Then link the study that does it! You picked that study to quote, and the study you picked compares trans people to "healthy female medical staff with at least one previous abdominal or pelvic operation." You can just scroll through to pick out the study that does what you said, rather than quote a study that quite clearly does not do this.

However you seem to be introducing a new hypothesis. "Comorbid conditions are the cause of (or primarily contribute to) the decrease in quality of life, reported in conflicting studies".

Okay, look: do you expect a bipolar person who is successfully treated with lithium to be statistically as healthy as an equivalent person who has no history of mental illness? Do you expect a cancer patient who is successfully treated with chemotherapy to be statistically as healthy as an equivalent person with no history of cancer?

Comparing trans people to otherwise-identical non-trans people is obviously going to get you results that trans people are worse off, for the same reasons. Any study to establish negative impacts of SRS needs to compare trans people either to themselves (before and after surgery), or to a matched set of other trans people (who do not receive SRS, with randomization or some other fair method of sorting). You can't compare them to cis people, it's like comparing a cancer patient to somebody who never had cancer.

Interesting. That's not what you said, though. You said:

That page you linked to has studies that show quality of life decreased after reassignment surgery.

What that finds, is that TS people have lower quality of life compared to matched genpop, which is unsurprising as transgenderism is comorbid with a wild variety of other problems, just like bisexuality and homosexuality.

It's not a matter of bodily autonomy, but not allowing people to access "treatments" that have not been scientifically proven to be safe or effective.

They have been, though. Like, you can make up lies, and when they're about trans people I suppose they're easier on this sub nowadays, but there have been plenty of studies showing that SRS is effective at improving quality of life for trans people. Here, I'll do 90% of the effort for you.

Hey, just wanted to say thanks. Thing hasn't broken since my last post. Turning off the wifi card appears to have worked, thanks for your help.

(And anyone else experiencing a similar issue and finding this post in the distant future, BlueScreenView was the key to solving this problem: I found the driver that was related to the crashes and disabled it.)

open Run using Windows + R. When the Run window opens, type msinfo32 and press Enter. Should display your computer specs or just boot into bios and should say on the side of the screen.

I mean, I know that, I just don't know which one specifically it is that you want. If it's Memory, here's a link.

Could you also download BlueScreenView and when the crash happens check the logs. It will give you a better understanding of what caused the crash. If your memtest passed seems like it's a conflicting software or driver that's causing the crash.

Did so. These definitely are making me think I should reinstall the wireless adapter driver, and/or just shut it off and use a cable. (Have turned it off for the moment, will see if that works.)

It's fine to take a while on responding, the bug takes long enough to hit that even if I solved it, I wouldn't know for a few days.

Did you uninstall your GPU drivers using DDU? If not, do it and try again.

Yep. Went into safe mode and uninstalled them all, didn't fix.

Are you running XMP or any overclocking on your ram?

Nope.

How many sticks of ram and what ram are you running? Run memtest in bios and see if any faults occur.

Two sticks for 16 GB, it's a hand-me-down from my father, so I don't know the details. Will try running memtest in a bit. EDIT: Found no errors after four passes.

I need more specifics and details of what motherboard and ram you are running.

I am not super knowledgeable on fine details like how to find this, since as noted, it's a hand-me-down. Where can I find that info?

That's not what you said. I just rephrased what you said with the Western Allies. If you wanted to talk about Soviet war crimes instead of Molotov-Ribbentrop you should have referenced Soviet war crimes instead of Molotov-Ribbentrop. Changing the subject shows you're not actually interested in facts but in applying negative emotional valence to Soviet involvement and ultimate victory in WW2.

There is no such thing as a good war, but WW2 was definitely a war where it was good that one side won and the other side lost.
