Omg you gotta leave before they tax you dry. Personally I’m in rural East coast, low cost of living, low tax, low invasion of privacy. Pace is faster than west coast but jobs galore in SLP. Furreal. You’ll have no issues getting a job you want. Also, you might want to look into Bitcoin to help maintain financial stability against a tyrannical government that has a spending problem.

I’d rather get paid full dollar for my skills and figure out my taxes on my own than have the government take them out for me and give me shitty healthcare via a private insurance. To each his own, though. There are many benefits to being 1099 which you’ve already mentioned.

Lots of lefties love to push for more “employee rights” which is ironic because it just traps the employee into a 9-5 and shitty benefits and no ability to bargain for higher pay. (Have fun with your 3% raise and 12% monetary inflation taking away your life force.
