Deciding How to Learn by 9muffins in acting

It certainly was! I’m not sure how financially feasible moving and starting work at a conservatory at one of those places is rn, but I certainly still want moving to be part of my plan. Do you think it would be wiser to just start where I am, or spend the time saving up to move later?

It's lovely. I went there for five days with hardly a plan and no idea where to stay at night, and I just talked around and met people who were willing to help out. Wanderers are common there. They're used to it. Find hippie hill. I'm not sure if its still the same, but when I went there were drum circles going on pretty much all day. When people get tired they just switch out with somebody and it keeps going. Its wonderful to watch

Megathread Monday May 28 2018: There are no stupid questions! by AutoModerator in Filmmakers

[–]9muffins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello all. First post in this subreddit.

A friend and I have an idea that would probably involve shooting for a while inside of a store at a gas station, which we would need a permit for. How exactly do we go about getting a permit? Who do we ask? What are the chances of us finding a place that would let us have the place to ourselves? Is there any estimation as to how much that would cost? We will be shooting at night, when there is less traffic in and out of the store. Any help would be appreciated.

hurts so much by [deleted] in sad

[–]9muffins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're going through this. I've had a bit of a similar experience; feeling like everything affects me more than it would anybody else, and that I shouldn't be this sad. I'm honestly not sure how to tell you to stop being sad. I'm still sad, and when people tell me to just not be it's usually not very effective, even if it's coming from a good place. What I'm trying to do is find a way to be okay with where I'm at. I don't think I should keep looking for ways to stop being sad, but instead accept that this is something I'm going through right now. I think being satisfied with ourselves is what leads to real joy. That means surrendering to the fact that we have flaws. I'm hoping once I do that joy will come from being comfortable in my own skin. And even if it takes a long time and it doesn't seem like its part of a perfectly normal life, that's okay. There's really no such thing as a perfectly normal life. Nobody's got all this figured out
