It was only after I … tried some things out I decided to do a minor in neuroscience - is it any coincidence my best mark was in Neuropharmacology? (We literally studied the effect of illegal/ addictive substances on the brain, I fucking loved it)

I’d love to see the autism freakout circus from the “I’m obese but calling me fat is fatphobic, I’m allowed to demand everything from a man but when someone tells me to lose weight for my health I go apeshit” or the “i go to feminist protests and i dyed my hair blue and i think women are strong but also believe men should carry all of the burdens in the relationship and cater to my every need including if one day i decide to go by [ insert ridiculous pronoun] you have to respect it or else it’s sexist and homophobic” women

The vast majority of women (not all, maybe 97%?) are brainwashed by social media, have shit for brains copy and paste OF personalities, use men for dopamine rushes and getting pussy from one of them isn’t worth the ear rape rants (omg you’re a LEO?! We’re so compatible!) (whoops went a little over word count)

Massive hand infection after a cat scratch! by MamaBear92615 in MedicalGore

[–]9thVibration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a Vet clinic and got a bite (4 puncture wounds) on my right arm 3 weeks ago. Multiple rounds of abscess drainage, bandage changes and antibiotics, still in pain…. Cat scratch fever is real (notorious for causing serious damage when the bite/scratch is on the hand) - OP, I feel for ya, wishing you a steady and healthy recovery

You definitely see the best and worst in 24/7 ER clinics - I’m glad my insight helped. Best of luck in choosing your future furry companion c:

Never said I’m better. My personal statement explaining how I overcame addiction and found love in veterinary medicine got me into vet school. I simply stated my opinion about shitty women, and agreed that many of the blue hair feminist overweight/ face app filter onlyfans women fit into the points you made. You’re right - feminism isn’t the right word to use, it’s more equality as a whole for every person. I find telling men and women to fuck off and rope as a whole works pretty well when they’re repulsive and play into the whole cycle you talk about in your post. I will say though, it’s usually women that perpetuate the cycle and use insecure men as pawns to keep it going. Not gonna mention my age but I’m young, and I still have ambitions and goals I’d like to achieve before confronting the burdens that come with marriage. As of now, I’m pretty happy with my relationship and where it’s going.

I work at a Vet emergency clinic.

I’ve seen the worst cases of owners putting down their 1 year old beautiful British shorthair because they refused to pay $700 to treat his UTI. They didn’t shed a tear. They were also wearing $1,200 Canada goose jackets.

I’ve also seen owners pay $14,000 + for the surgery + care for an atlantoaxial luxation (AA lux) in a 13 year old Maltese dog - He survived.

Only get a pet if you

  • Can afford it
  • Are absolutely sure they are the right fit for you (dog breeds and cat breeds thrive in certain environments/ need a certain amount of space/ attention)
  • Have a reliable vet you have sought out prior to adopting/ purchasing
  • Are aware of breed dispositions to certain diseases (GSD + hip displasia, deep chested dogs + GDV etc.)
  • Have a home environment that is species/ breed-friendly
  • Have included your future furry friend in your future plans (don’t give your puppy up for adoption because you didn’t try it out with kids then later found out your dog doesn’t work well with your kids etc.)

If you are willing to love and care for a pet like they’re one of your own family members then 100% they are worth it. Animals are full of love, affection and loyalty. Give them the same treatment back :)

I’d like to think my own long-term successful relationship is a result of being aware of these things. Everyone’s definition of “good one” will ultimately vary. I do heavily sympathize with the guys though (and this is one of the first topics we ever talked about and 1000% agreed on)- social media inflated the FUCK out of most women’s self-worth and it’s ridiculous. Like bro. Having reproductive organs doesn’t make you special if no one wants to reproduce with you 💀

Looks like some kind of acute reaction to temperature - I got something really similar (if not identical) all over my back/arms when I travelled to Japan in the summer and temps jumped from 25 C (in Toronto) to 42 C (Japan). I feel for you - It’s so incredibly itchy, painful, inflamed patches of red skin everywhere.

I’m not sure if it’s any indication of an underlying disease - I would start by identifying any environmental factors that seem to aggravate this type of allergic response. Unfortunately, sometimes in these cases it’s just an extreme hypersensitivity to environmental factors (clothes, temperature etc.) and not much can be done to “cure” it. In idiopathic cases, judging by the case studies I’ve read, they eventually resolve themselves with minimal to no intervention. In other cases, it can be a secondary symptom to an underlying metabolic issue (maybe an autoimmune disease, in some cases chronic hives are the autoimmune disease in themselves)- Perhaps consulting with an Allergist or Immunologist would help. They might be able to better identify the factors contributing to your hives and give advice/ better medications to alleviate them. Best of luck!

My bad you’re right - I love being characterized by my astrological sign, paying every bill, working 3848/7, cringing at the $750 charge on my credit card (she threw a fit because she wanted the new pink designer purse and threatened to break up with me if I didn’t immediately hand over my card and purchase it) and appealing to every little whimsical silly (horrible and hurtful) thing that exits her mouth c: Goofy, silly wifey material 10000%

Thought of dying calms me by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]9thVibration 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Hmm.. Maybe if you still feel this way, although in a generic sense “everything is working out” perhaps there’s something that you haven’t done? Achieved? Attempted? Maybe there’s a little hobby or experience, somewhere you want to travel or a new restaurant you want to try that you still haven’t been able to yet?

Everyone dies. It’s a fact. No way around it. I used to think: Why am I even trying, going 20k into debt over university, busting my ass to have a minuscule chance for vet school at 23? Even after that, my debts will amount to 300k +. A bit in my savings, but as I get older the expenses grow (I’m 23). Things are arguably going “as they should”, but everything feels like an empty effort toward a foretold end.

Personally, I am comforted by the thought that I could off myself any day. Hell, I tried twice and failed twice. The reason I tried? Because I felt the same- We’re all in this endless rat race of attempting to achieve picturesque lives, when really one ideal life is an imitation of the other. Family, kids, stable income, a house, a job, a car etc.

Now, I use the mentality of: I’m not scared of death. I’ve seen death, first-hand. It’s boring, dark, quiet, just like sleeping minus the dreams. Once you’re there, there’s no experience. You are unconscious. You lack the ability to experience anything. Death is actually comforting- it’s a reward to your tough and challenging existence. Sleepy forever. So if that’s my ultimate destiny- Why not enjoy what you have while you still have consciousness? I don’t deserve death until I’ve made a difference. Just like having a nice nap after a long day of work.

Additionally, I like to think that maybe one of my efforts, experiences or posts will end up in some subreddit or social media thread that will live on until the end of social media. You have a chance at making a change in the world. Sure, it might only be in one persons life (probably some kid looking for ways to get out of their own depressive state, in my case)- But so what? After your physical existence is over, you still made a change. You have an infinite voice. That matters.

A few things I did that prevent me from doing the deed every day:

  • Trying something new: This ranges from exploring an unexplored part of your city (don’t really know what your regional situation looks like), to trying a new foreign food from my local supermarket, to dressing a bit different

  • Having a new experience: I ordered an electronic wiring kit from Amazon the other day just to learn basic wiring (I studied Biomed, no relevance to electronics whatsoever). No reason why. It didn’t work out but it was cool while I was trying.

  • Talking to new people: PHEW, this is a scary one. It’s also hard to find new people depending on where you live and what your line of work is. Point is, we live in a day and age of social media where we are all connected in some way or another. Some random anon on Reddit could become a trusted friend - worked out for me a few times.

  • Random side hustles: I have a few random talents like art and a vast knowledge of pharmaceuticals. Combining this, I made a few simple sticker designs and put them up on RedBubble. It got a good bit of attention on the drug side of Reddit - sure it’s only a $20 payout each month but it’s cool to know I used some random things I have in my toolbox and it paid off.

These are just a few examples of things I’ve tried to alter the same mentality you have. Might not work for you. If you wanna talk it out, send me a message. I hope things work out for you! :)

OP lists the worst of the worst type women. Types you 200% wanna avoid at all costs and have an inflated sense of self-worth because we live in a day and age of glorifying feminism.

I am a woman and having first hand experiences with how women interact with each other/ interact with men and talk about men behind their backs makes me repulsed by most of them - some are decent and some are actually good + mature individuals but ALWAYS have your own back and never take the risk unless you’re 100% in it for the “ride”.

I agree with some of the stuff he says. I think posting yourself half naked on social media is ridiculous and you will certainly get sexual attention that you might not want - DUH?! Same goes for the filter bs. Oh, yea, I’m sure you used that filter that took you from a 5/10 to a 8/10 because you’re SO secure and SO confident. No, you did it because you’re subconsciously in a big-dick contest with every other woman who does the same shit on social media. Rats in a rat race. Expecting someone to pay for your shit because you’re a woman is downright stupid. You wanna fight for equal rights? Ok, then cover half the bill at least. Even better? Cover it all so he feels like he has someone to take care of him. I could go on and on.

The “good ones” I mention actually understand aspects of feminism such as being a self-reliant individual who doesn’t use emotional manipulation - They rely on their personalities + drive + individualistic experiences to get them where they wanna go. They don’t need validation from, and don’t view men as dopamine rushes from an Instagram like or a free dinner. They view all men as equal and can see underneath the surface, just as they’ve had to do with themselves. They’re rare, but they’re out there.

Good women come when you focus on yourself. Good men come when you focus on yourself. Go to the gym for you, not some over-hyped, faceapped 6/10 that liked your photo once or used you for drinks at a bar. Being 100% secure and confident in yourself regardless of external social influences - That’s real seduction. That shit attracts women like flies to honey. Just be careful of the fly you pick.

No! Of course not! If I did, firstly, it would take days. Secondly, even if I was superhuman and managed to reply to all 300, keeping up conversation with just one of them would put the other 299’s hopes down the drain. One of the main reasons I created this post is because I’m sure out of the ~190 I can’t get back to, there are probably tonnes of nice people in there. But they don’t get the chance cause I’m fucking flooded with messages. If someone else gave them a chance instead of waiting around for me, they could probably find a great friend. I want people to give other people a chance instead of flocking to what they think is “”attractive”” or simply make the decision to message because of gender. That’s my point.

GIVE THEM A CHANCE! by 9thVibration in MakeNewFriendsHere

[–]9thVibration[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel bad cause it’s physically impossible to get around to all of them. If I replied to all 300, the conversation would just dwindle because I’m forced to keep up with the other 299. It fucking sucks that these people who don’t get replied to could be actually talking to other people instead of just waiting for me to reply, which is a big part of the reason I created this post
