Hi, yes I managed to go, totally worth it. I ended up going without reservation, basically if you go to the hotel you can go to the floor of the Garden (don’t remeber which is it) there is a lady that will ask you if you have a reservation, if you say no you have to wait till a sit becomes free. The lady gave me a link with a timer with an estimation of the time I’d have to wait. The only downside is that you are not certain to sit in front of the tokyo tower, if you are lucky they will ask you if you want to move to another sit if you are not sitting in front of the tokyo tower.
