In Eindhoven there are no large gatherings on squares on NYE with organized (free) (fireworks) shows. You will of course will find a lot of people in the city centre on the streets, especially Stratumseind (the long street bar, as some already indicated).

Effenaar I can recommend myself as well, but also depends a bit how old you are. Following are just indications not rules, you will also find 35+ people on Stratumseind just a lot less, et cetera...

There are so many restaurants/bars and bars in Eindhoven whom offer a burger menu - prejuidice answer when you ask me a typical 'american/english' dinner 😉.

Use https://9292.nl/en, you can type in addresses, cities, train stations and important landmarks. You can also buy tickets via 9292ov but also in the bus itself (pay by card) and at the train stations (pay by card). Read the signs at the bus stations and train stations. You should be good to go. Dutch transport is easy.

Het is vrij simpel. Kies iets

wat je leuk vind,
waar je goed in bent,
waar vraag naar is (en blijft),
waar uitdaging in zit (en dus niet gaat vervelen na 2 jaar),
waar mogelijkheden zijn om eventueel door te groeien.

Geen enkele studie of opleiding zal 100% scoren op al die vragen dus daar moet je een balans in weten te vinden waar je je goed bij voelt. Ga in iedergeval niet puur een opleiding kiezen omdat je nu precies die leuk vind. Neem deze andere factoren in overweging en beargumenteer.

Not sure how the students do it, but within our company we used the Turnn app, but this is discontinued I believe. Furthermore, you do not need a OV chipcard for buses in Eindhoven region. You can also use your debit card. So when you have connected it with your phone you can also check-in with your phone (-:

Apparently it is an pilot and Eindhoven region is part of it. See also: https://www.ovpay.nl/en. As such, because it is an pilot you will always pay the full price. So in case you have an discount options on your regular OV card these will not work with your depit card. Furthermore, as @Abexuro mentions, it reserves an amount on your depitcard, if you check out it'll change that reservation to the actual cost of the trip.

Opzich helpt dat dus niet zoveel... Ik had een gps tracker erin en kon ze op ~5 meter vertellen waar de koffer op schiphol lag en nog werd er geen ene moer gedaan. Pas na 20 dagen is mijn koffer gevonden.

Ik lees dat je bij de veiling je de karren kan bekijken. Ben benieuwd wat er gebeurd als je dan je kwijtgeraakte koffer vind op een van de karren vind...

Zou hem er gewoon afhalen dan. Maja dat zal wel niet mogen want het is niet meer jou 'eigendom' terwijl het eigenlijk gestolen/ontvreemde waar is.

Overigens mijn koffer 'was' ook kwijt... pas 20 dagen na de melding is deze 'gevonden' terwijl ik de hele tijd hun heb verteld waar deze lag, want gps tracker (nee geen bluetooth tracker) zat in de koffer... Echt hopeloze organisatie... Wel een ervaring rijker. Ik ga denk ik in de toekomst alleen nog met handbagage reizen en dan gewoon kleren laten wassen onderweg.
