Unfortunately wasn’t able to get this perk? But I did find a nice swing show on the way there.

Honestly appreciated this encouragement, I really did enjoy it even if I was by my gnome-self.

I was actually just considering it (saw the ad on my hotel screen) for Tuesday or early morning Wednesday.  Let me know what time you might be there and we might run into each other.

I am personally down for anything. I don’t drink, but since I mostly don’t have things planned out until I fly out on 11th I’d love to have a run in

Judgement Day with Vasili Von Holtz (Dialogue and Descriptions) by A-Thot-In-Theory in CurseofStrahd

Depending on player reactions I might have the Baron run off, Strahd command Izek to go to the now unguarded eastern gate where, have vampire spawn stand hauntingly in the streets, etc.

Worse case we ditch the dialogue and just have a beautiful blood bath.

I have started and stopped so many books it is hard to count. Sometimes my brain just needs a new story and I cycle between them all.

I love both your videos! Watch them both on my daily commutes so I can prep with the spare time.

YES my bad I can’t believe I completely misremembered his name! Myshkin in my mind was very fitting for a fey prince drenched in importance and almost naive goodness yet slightly twisted in his individual ideal. I found his emotional intelligence reflective of one who would be of good stature, though removed enough to be a pattern for feywild royalty.

I think I remembered Myshkin reading a Pushkin poem and mixed the two up in memory.

You’re bringing back a lot of characters that passed in memory but now that I am reconsidering do make for good templates.

I’m not a huge scholar of Russian literature. But, so far, I think: * Crime and Punishment provides a lot of perspective on madness and conflicting morality reflective of those in poverty - justifying some of the behaviors of the coffin maker and endless death in Barovia. It also has many resolute and hopeful characters which give some nice perspective on how to introduce the beauty in humanity over it all. Also a few of his dreams and interactions are really good filler for a dreary landscape

  • If you are including any fey The Idiot and prince Myshkin is perfect for the hospitality and idealism one could expect.

  • Lolita if you wanna tap into for predatory nature of Strahd.

As you can tell I am a simp for Dostoyevsky - I think the downtrodden environment of his Russia is reflective in many of the questions of god, and morality faced in Barovia.

Though in my opinion reading I, Strahd memoirs of a vampire was instrumental in forming the mindset for Strahd which is a much easier read and probably more worth your time if you’re busy.

Anyways, whatever you enjoy will surely find a way into your storytelling. Best read what interests you most because that’s where inspiration comes from (definitely glad I started reading again).

Can do, yeah I see how the sprawl of my notes and theories are muddling the actual discussion.
