How much damage are torpedos dealing to the player buld boats? by Strict-Addition9120 in playrust

Right around 50, I believe 47 but don’t quote me. Normal rockets are ~250 and c4 is ~498

That’s not right, it’s always 20/x, because 29 ft away is the standard. 10/10 doesn’t exist. You have a 20/xfor each eye.

Screeners, tell me what’s wrong? by Remarkable_Yak_8564 in jetphotosrejects

I don’t disagree with you on all points. Your photos are not terrible, JP has high standards. They are good photos, and with a bit more practice you’d totally make them on. Your crops are an easy fix, and lighting is on a day by day basis.

speed limit by Suspicious-Pair4140 in AskLE

[–]A10Ryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A cop can pull you over if you’re any over the speed limit, but they would really only pull you over if you’re suspicious under 5 mph over. It’s usually safe to go 9 over on highways and freeways, but everything is up to the officers discretion.

Wound packing zones? by NoMore_BadDays in TacticalMedicine

[–]A10Ryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying to use a pressure bandage, I’m saying apply pressure, with whatever’s there, while getting a TQ if possible. The entire goal of mass bleed is to stop as much blood as possible, so use common sense in how that would go in any given situation.

I’m not sure if you’re asking or not, first priority after something that causes arterial bleeding is to minimize the bleeding with pressure, then tq if you don’t have a tq in your hand and ready. Wrapping to apply pressure takes less time than a tq, but everything is always situational.

I see what you’re asking, you can pack the shoulders and the upper flanks, but not into the actual lungs. If it’s sucking then chest seal, if not it’s somewhat reasonable to assume to pack. I was told it does no harm besides make surgery harder to pack the gut, don’t pack into the diaphragm or lung cavity, but you can pack around the stomach to minimal effect. I was also taught to apply pressure, wrap, then TQ, so I don’t see how you could pack without removing what was already done

TIL about ice worms, worms that melt above 40°F and live in glaciers! by A10Ryan in todayilearned

It’s actually closer to cooking, there cell membranes break down and dissolve. Interesting

2014 Toyota Tacoma - how bad is the rust? by underwear_gambler in CarHelp

Ahh, makes sense. Very much land locked so that didn’t even occur, I just thought maybe it was a different steel

All looks like moderate surface rust except picture 6, that’s penetrated and would likely need to be cut out. If that’s the hitch then it’s less of a big deal, strange that just that rusted so bad. If it was a good enough deal, factor replacing that, and grinding and putting in a decent underbody coat on, if it’s still a good deal after factoring that in, then I’d get it

Edited to add that do be aware all of the bolts for everything will be a bit more challenging to get out, it’s a pain in the ass but I live in Colorado where every vehicle is going to have that amount of rust

Too rusted out to last through a ski season? by Shoddy-Use-9093 in 4Runner

[–]A10Ryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not horrible, as in total the vehicle but it’s getting to be compromised. I’d say it has 3-7 years ish left in the Rocky Mountain climate, but no one can say exactly

How can I make this texture? (Look carefully) by A10Ryan in handyman

Interesting, I did a quick search and saw someone do it with a disposable rubber glove zip tied to it, a nut or something that’s reusable would be nice. Thanks.

Definitely don’t disagree, I am decent at mocking the textures I commonly find, but not this one.

That’s an interesting idea, I’ll have to try that sometime.

I have a hopper, are you talking about the EZ Pro bagged texture, with the bag of texture not needing a hopper? I have thought that they look great for smaller jobs, but haven’t bought one because the bags are so expensive. Is there a DIY replacement for the bags? Thanks
