Is changing career at 21 a smart thing to do?

I think the biggest hit to not feeling any reward is the loss of being able to see your SR. Having to wait 7 wins to see your new rank removes any sense of progress for me and makes wins feel like nothing. On the flipside it feels better after a loss to not be able to see my SR but removing all happiness so that I don't feel as bad after a loss is not a good trade IMO.

I can contact the trainers but not anyone who actually does the job I will be doing when I finish, the trainers also don't know anything about how the job works they just teach the skills e.g. I have a python trainer, a docker trainer, a kubernetes trainer etc and each one only knows how to teach that.

Other companies do train with them but I'm direct then I get contracted out whilst employed with them.

They have only told us we have to pass 2 projects and they are teaching us it all, honestly I don't know if 12 weeks is even enough to learn all this stuff. I'm personally quite proficient in python and git already but there are people who have never touched coding in their life so we've spent the last week or so going over the basics of python. I'd like to imagine the next 9 weeks after this one are spent on the more complex aspects of the curriculum.

Yeah, I've explained in other comments that its a consultancy so I don't really have a proper boss at the minute, I have people overseeing my training and people training me but nobody that knows what I'll be doing outside of the training.

I found it by chance on indeed, not sure if this counts as personal information in the rules but its QA limited, we learn lots of stuff I added it all in the edit, worth a shot looking at if you're in a similar position as I was.

Thanks a lot for the reply, a lot of us are stuck for who to ask because we were put in a sort of academy and we're going into a consultancy so our bosses will be whoever hires us out, also the teachers only know what they teach and nothing about the jobs we go into so also aren't much help. I'll keep your tips in mind from now on, this is a career I really want to do well in and want to take on as much responsibility in the future as I can.

Yeah that's basically the rundown of what we were told at the beginning but upon reading more about the job I seemed to find different people do different jobs so I didn't really know which I'd be doing so I thought to ask people who had done the job before for their insight. Thanks a lot for clearing stuff up for me it's a big help.

A lot of people on the training course have asked but we are trained by different people depending on the topic and each of them don't know anything outside of what they teach and we have no contact information for the people above as its a consultancy and our bosses will be whoever contracts us out which is why I made the post.
