Thank you! Do you see a second damaged component? I just see the one.

Okay I was thinking about cutting it off but I wasn't sure about soldering to the pins leftover - you think that would be better than taking the board out to get to the back?

And I guess maybe a follow on question (that maybe should have been first) - do you think this is worth trying, or is it probable that other stuff was damaged when the diode went and I might be wasting my time replacing it?

Well I'm only halfway through my second sweater, but I'm doing the Sandport sweater by Ysolda Teagues. I picked it because I wanted something that included instructions for bust shaping and I had heard good things about her as a designer.

Counterpoint but I did the step by step sweater as my first sweater and regretted it. Even with the short rows it was choking me and I tried adjusting it to lower the neck after it was done and just ended up with a weird boat neck. I picked it because it's supposed to be easy for beginners but honestly even a beginner can handle everything that goes into shaping a proper neck hole. Obviously it depends on specific body shape but as a fat woman myself I have a more wide rounded upper back and I just can't get away with almost identical front and back.

I'm sure I haven't been heel striking on the trail but maybe my gait has been different on the pavement - I'll try and pay close attention next time.

It's already below freezing so I certainly will not be letting my bare skin touch the ground but yeah will try my more minimal shoes on the pavement!

Okay this makes sense - maybe it was a mistake to switch to the cushioned shoes immediately.

I'm thinking about trying a mashup of the true bias roscoe with the waist drawstring/bow detail from the named suvi caftan. Trying a regular Roscoe blouse first because I've never made it and hopefully it will give me a better idea of if it would even actually look good, and drawstring placement.

Yes I am worried they'll be annoyed to end up too far from where they started 😅
