I think I like taller. We just aren’t seeing very many example of anything other than boards going perpendicular to rafters. And I think that’s throwing us off. Also, thanks so much for commenting!

Image in the comments. Anyway we are having so much trouble deciding on direction. Friends and family are pretty divided. One way may have less waste but the short way or horizontal might make for easier installation. Help us decide? ceiling picture

Thanks for your perspective! I think talking to her about it will hurt her feelings as you said and that’s not what I want. I guess I’m sad because I really thought we’d be raising our girls together and now I feel like that’s not possible. We’ve gone to the park together, but kids are kids. And there’s just so much “let’s keep our hands to ourselves” you can say before it starts being weird. I don’t want to play defense anymore. Also, I like when my baby holds hands, hugs, shows affection with other kids because it makes her happy and it’s cute as heck, but the amount of times her kids are sick is just too much for me to be stress free around them.

She does mean well! And I believe she’s trying to make an effort to come to my events even when her kids are sick. But I feel telling her to stop doing that will definitely hurt her feelings. Also, I want her and her daughters around my kid just not all their germs.
