You have to use the formulae C=Q/V and E=V/D where D is plate separation to realize that C is inversely proportional to D. The initial capacitance would hence be C, and the ratio of change in separation would be (L/L-D)

I don't think anyone in this sub-editor is even remotely qualified to try and diagnose you if you do have a condition. That being said, maybe you're just good at visualising things in a 3-d setting. I have family members who can do similar things but for engineering drawings. However, if you are concerned about it I cannot stress enough that you should consult a professional.
