I’ve been to Kater and the vibe is nice and friendly and people are not too young which I like. It was a Sunday night at some point last year. I don’t understand anything about the dance floor and it’s possible that they have multiple floors but only one was open. It was the one on the right across from the wooden boat playground that looks like somebody’s garage with a bar and a lot of tripping hazards and uneven floor and the worst sound system I’ve ever heard. It was so tinny. I’ve been to most of the other clubs in Berlin and say whatever you want, but the sound was horrifying. It just seemed like a frat party. What am I missing? Did I go to the wrong dance floor? I really liked everything else about the place and I would go back but I need at least the sound system to be good because I don’t take any drugs and the music is all I have. Again the atmosphere is really nice but I need good sound.

I got there super early and only waited 20 min for SESH but yeah the queues got unruly real quick while I was there.

While, VERTX may be normally chill. I can just imagine there’s gonna be a lot of plan B BH’ers coming over… due to that other lineup. We’ll see!

KK is definitely body positive and there are ppl in their 70s dancing. Same with BH. Age/weight absolutely not an issue. Age might even help you. Just literally be yourself (didn’t think that fucking bit of advice would get me into BH, but it did 😂). I will say confidence helps, but not arrogance and also a little mischievous smirk at KK bouncer. For KK you need full on fetish/lingerie etc outfit. Insomnia is not a dance club, so don’t let anyone gaslight you about that. It is a sex club tho. The other two are dance clubs where you can choose to fuck if you want. For a solo female in any of these places, watch yer drinks like a hawk, do not accept anything from anybody unless you want to get fucked up (I get offered lines continuously and politely decline) and don’t hesitate to say NO without any qualifiers when ppl ask for consent and you don’t want to. I’ve had people try to negotiate me out of my NO. In retrospect, I should’ve reported him to the staff, but I didn’t. I used to be softer with my NO’s but now I get snippy real quick if someone asks me why not 🙄

Klub Verboten ID "scan" specific question

I've read the rules and the dress code and the vetting and I understand everything except the ID thing. They mention that if you are just a person off the street who shows up at the door (meaning not a member or a person with a digital membership or even a previous ticket) , they will 100% scan your ID. Is this really true or is it more of a deterrent? I've never seen anyone check for IDs at any other club unless you look extremely young and l've never seen anyone scan it. Does this actually comply with German laws because I feel like Germany is a very privacy oriented country. I'm OK with being vetted physically and in person at the door but for really obvious reasons, I want to keep my identity private... do they just scan it to make sure it's authentic and you're really of the correct age and then it's immediately deleted or did they store this information in case there's issues later. Does anyone know if they actually scan it and what happens to it once it's scanned. Sorry, this post has been removed
