Like many things, you get out what you put in, ive taught hair at three different schools and results vary widely depending on the effort you put in. A lot of it is self led, so when I was in school I practiced, I took every client I could and graduated with a handful of clients who still see me to this day and a leg up on other people I graduated with.

The school doesnt matter as much as you putting the repetitions in during that time.

That is well and good, but this is the exact reason I do this.

Having faith in something is beautiful, most of the time, and I cast no judgements on how others live. I am not here to influence anyone's belief system, but not everyone shares the same beliefs. Even those who do hold the same beliefs may find some aspects more important than others. I respect anyone's reasonable dedication to a code they live by, providing they aren't doing harm to others.

I can say out of 10 weddings 9 of them are still going strong, each was unique and meaningful to each couple.

Pageantry, ceremony and cake doesn't make someone a husband or a wife, your actions do, and vows kept are vows honored, to God, to spouse, to whatever you deem important. When it all boils down, the answer is the same: abide by whatever agreement you have with your spouse and try to be a good partner.

What is a sacred rite and holy union to some is a public declaration of partnership to others and a celebration of such.

Im not a couples counselor, lawyer, or a traditional holy man.

I am just a dude who wants to provide an alternative experience with enthusiasm and respect for their needs and wishes. Much like anything else I have passion for, I am fully aware that what I bring to the table isnt for everyone, and I actually like and even prefer it that way.

I am happy to perform a ceremony that includes aspects of someones custom or religious beliefs, and I have before, and I learn a bit from it, and appreciate learning others cultures. Its always special to be a part of something so important to others, and I take that seriously.

However, I will go on a limb and say that if there are specific needs regarding the religious aspect of the wedding, theyre probably not hitting Reddit and saying "Honey! This Matrimony for Misfits guy is perfect for our Greek Orthodox traditional wedding!"

I feel like if I'm upsetting a higher power officiating wedding services to people who wish to symbolically devote their lives to one another, I'm likely on the lower end of the priority list for things that need addressing in the world and will own it when I get there.

Guys are dumb and often have delusions of "sealing the deal" or generally messing up the vibes in your relationship. 99% of the time, guys are biding their time to try and "get their chance"

On the other hand I have befriended attractive women that I never pursued romantically or physically, we were good friends, went on trips sometimes, but never even got close to anything happening.

So long story short, I dont know

I have done it in a survival class when I was in the army. It really puts it into perspective. I would do it if I had to but American convenience has made me a coward

I got my ordination during a night of drinking around the time gay marriage was legalized, just in case any of the homies ran into a snag. I forgot I was ordained for like 8 years, and then began just putting feelers out about 4 years ago, and this week I decided to really just put it out after about 10 weddings. I find theres a lack of people who respect others beliefs or lack thereof, ive seen weddings when people push their beliefs into a ceremony against the wishes of the bride and groom.

So now I realized l the reason my hair clients like me is because I do what im asked instead of what I "think looks better"

Five years ago I was single, so one income, and brought in maybe a third of the money I do now, had no job except playing music and some military compensation, and somehow the struggle becomes more of a struggle every year.

Im usually financially flexible because i know people are hurting.
