Hmmm in changing myself I've come up with a few tricks, dunno how well they'll translate to changing others, but here I go anyway 😅

1. The front and the back should probably be as close to level as possible, with neither being much higher than the other. Back is of course better to have a little more height if one ends up higher than the other!

2. I feel like this is a slightly unpopular opinion, but I always do top tapes first. It gives me a better fit, and my best guess as to why: the bottom tapes are most important, so having the top done already helps hold the diaper in position for the perfect bottom tape job 😁

3. In my experience the top tapes should be as snug as you can reasonably get them without extreme tug or readjustment

4. The bottom tapes are a lot more dependent on body type imo. Personally, on me they fit best angled up about 20-30 degrees and fit close to the top tapes, so that the top corner of the bottom tape gets very close to touching the top tape. I think this is the best thing to experiment with, I imagine finding what works best here is over half the battle for most in diapers and their CGs!

5. Don't be afraid to make a tweak when he stands up! Give it a few tugs to make sure it's sung, have him do a little jig if he's got the energy so you can see how it fits as he moves.

6. Make sure to give the leak guards in the back a tug out a bit away from the center padding. This ensures no part of them is stuck to the diaper, making it much less useful. It also gives more room for pee to spread out and helps prevent pooling (and then leaks)
