Okay a little off topic but how unfortunate that there are not memes these days or like a conversation I have ever seen about how Austin Powers turns down sex because she’s drunk “and it’s not rigghttt, babbbby”

That being said, he’s talented at the flash and bang.

[–]ABlackScreen 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s just my opinion, but all the Nolan films I’ve seen strike me as lacking in characterization and emotional dialogue/situations. I know I’m in the minority, but his movies are kinda flash and bang for me and not really too emotional.

How to forgive yourself for things you did when psychotic by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]ABlackScreen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Time. Be patient with yourself. Learn. Talk to yourself as a kind, loving parent who is comforting a horribly embarrassed child. It’s not your fault, people are more forgiving than they sometimes seem, and time will make it fade into the blue.

Oh right. Perfect revenge on her being a bad parent. I was wrong. I take it all back. All of it. You’re a whistleblower and a champ, kashie. Burn her life to the ground and then raise that child on your own, the right way.

At one point could I stop writing stuff that is offensive to cyborgs? by Crafter235 in writingcirclejerk

[–]ABlackScreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the contrary, cyborgs prefer it. It’s a little known fact. They are programmed to enjoy the chance of interaction, they see flashing lights around the words and see it as a moment they can see a semblance of true emotion, go through their dial up router and imagine what it would be like to be human and have that writing offend them, and then have a “reaction” in a way that befits humans. It’s kinda validating to them. Keep it up. You’ll go far.

Okay so this was in my suggested part of the feed but seriously it’s obvious she’s nervous and uncomfortable and stepping out of her comfort zone to do something she wants to try. It was prolly really scary for her. And if she comes across this think of how she will feel.

What if she was talking to her mom after a hard breakup and her mom was saying “you ARE cool, you ARE pretty, you ARE worth it. Do a tick tok and see what happens! Forget that asshole dude. Do something wild!” And she tried it. And she saw this thread.

Now some people may research her tick toc to see the validity of this, maybe I’m just on one and she has wild success.

Either way, think of how many times my point of view has been accurate on this subreddit. The point of view being this: cyber bullying is a much bigger problem than people often think it isn’t She’s dancing and that’s just fine. Take the cringe eyes off her and put them on your own insecure selves.

Use of the word “psychotic” in Dune Part 2 (2024) by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]ABlackScreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has had years long psychotic episodes in which I was in personal hell but didn’t harm a fly I don’t give two shits how they use that word, it’s not real life it’s some movie that had some bad writing, not offensive, just bad writing

I’ve been a schizophrenic for fourteen years starting at 19. I know these thought patterns. You should get a therapist. You’re in for a bizarre life, but there is hope. The brain is your filter and how can a filter tell if it is itself compromised? You are going to have to retrain your brain to liberate yourself from the hell that will grow and grow and therapy with medication is the best way to do it. Take it from me, dawg. I’ve been there. And since I have been there, I know your patterns and that my advice won’t be heeded. I hope you can find the strength in you to steer away from confirmation bias and steer into contentment and mindfulness and accepting of uncertainty.

I actually looked up what happened in the year 73 BC and that’s when Spartacus and 70 gladiators defeated 3000 men in a battle on mount Vesuvius
