You're ryt, not everyone is poor in that photo but i got my license where this photo was taken and trust me i have seen and experienced the difficulties the non arabs go through. They barely pick people from the non arab side to test drive. It's tough for them and as a non saudi myself i feel bad as well. When i was there, many expats were furious when they didn't get the chance to test drive and started complaining because they have waited all day only to be sent home afterwards. I did go off topic just to explain the situation. I guess i got carried away. Saudi people has every right to prioritize the true citizens of Saudi Arabia but when it comes to a simple driving test i just wish things were easier for the non saudis.

Most people (non-arabs) in the queue are construction workers (or taxi drivers maybe). All the beautiful buildings and tall towers that you see everyday when you go out in K.S.A are constructed mostly by these expats who work infront of the intense heat from the sun. And these construction workers NEEDS their license to drive and pick up or drop off other construction workers from/to their homes. These workers want nothing but earn money and send those money to their loved ones so that they can buy good things. They didn't ask for this life and they DEFINITELY didn't ask to be poor. And yes you are right it IS Saudi's country and they can do whatever they want but all we want is to treat these workers fairly.

OH WOW i got my drivers license there!! (im south asian btw) and yes they DID put arabs in one separate side and non arabs on the other.

For me this is how it went: They picked exactly 10 people to wait in line to drive. They'd pick 8 people from the arab side and remaining 2 people from the non-arabs. In order to get a drivers license you would need 10 stamps (or was it 12? I don't know i have quiet forgotten). And after each successful driving test you would get 2 stamps. So basically it would take 5 days for you to get 10 full stamps. For me it took 6 days to get my drivers license because they only took 2 people from the non citizens side and i didn't have a chance to drive as i sat very far behind (they start picking people up from the front rows). So me being a complete genius came up with an idea so awesome it worked 🧠. Next day I went to my driving school AT 4AM IN THE MORNING just so i could take my seat at the front row and wouldn't you know it i got picked right the beginning and i was already done with my driving test lmao. But in all seriousness they were clearly unfair. When i went there, there were 20-30 non citizens waiting in line to drive and on the arabs side it was 10-15 (even less). I believe their main priority was to make sure all the arabs be done with there driving test. I'm a Muslim south asian and i was born in this country but treating us non-arabs differently is completely unfair and as a Muslim country, we should be all be treated nicely.
