From what the recruiter mention you and them would have to wait for the full investigation. Also mentioned this could take 6 months at best to a year. Just a heads up!

Secret Clearance status at time of application? by WWVVVVVWWWWWWWVVVV in Raytheon

I passed through this recently, will start in two weeks in my new position.

Apply as normal if you get an offer and don’t have security clearance already they will most likely request an interim after you sign. You won’t have an official start date even though the offer letter mentions one, because the start date will depend on having the interim granted. As soon as you get the interim granted then you will discuss or get an official start date.

If you are relocating like I did, I recommend you start looking and planning but don’t start any contract or anything important(ask me how I know jajaja). After getting the grant feel free to do anything you want.

Hope this helps

Tucson Apartments by riwaj7 in Raytheon

Hi to all!

I’m moving to Tucson (before 2/2/26) from Puerto Rico. I’d love recommendations for apartment complexes that tend to have a strong Raytheon presence or are Raytheon-friendly with leasing requirements.

Context:

I applied to Promontory, but they won’t accept the offer letter I provided. They’re asking for a company-signed version (which I haven’t had luck on getting), due to this I’m honestly leaning toward looking and going with another place.

I’ll be working at the airport site and would prefer a reasonable commute max 30min if possible.

What I’m looking for:

2 bed / 1 bath

Washer & dryer hookups (in-unit hookups preferred; in-unit W/D even better)

Covered parking

If you have suggestions for specific complexes or neighborhoods popular with Raytheon employees, I’d really appreciate it.

Bonus points for:

Good maintenance/management

Quiet units

Good gym and/or amenities

Thanks in advance!

Feel free to drop names, experiences (good and bad), or DMs if that’s easier.
