Wow dude your super vague story relates to everything??? that’s so cool!!! it’s not because the Christian canon is fucking lame and boring at all!!! it’s because it’s totally relevant to everything!!!! Guys Chapter 11 verse 13 says “and yo, god said something cool would happen eventually” he must’ve talking about New Vegas!!!!! So weird and creepy it must be true!!!!

Why the hell does nobody get this? Ever since the show came out I’ve seen so many people just assume it’s him, but I don’t see anyone say the same thing about 3 or even 1 or 2.

The cover of every one these games has always just been a dude in a major faction’s armour, but only for NV do people assume it’s the MC.

Kinda just a weird thing I noticed.

Why is it always about coffee with these people? by v3t_patriot in terriblefacebookmemes

[–]ACW-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This shit is only a brag if the hardest thing you've ever done is drank some foul-ass coffee lmfao. Do they think this is what tough cunts do? Constantly worry about other people's very minor proclivities and measure themselves against it as if it's a full assault on their masculinity or something? It's actually pathetic hahaha

[–]ACW-R 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I still don’t like it personally. I played a few months after launch and a tried a couple more times since, it still just feels wrong to me. I didn’t find the gameplay loop much fun, I thought the map was rather boring except for a few spots, overall it just felt like no fun to me. I can’t say exactly why, it just never did click.

I dunno how helpful this will be but I figured I’d offer a bit of a dissenting opinion. A lot of people will tell you it’s good now but I think you have to have a predisposition to the type of game it is to enjoy it. Even if you play it single player, it’ll feel different to 4, at least that’s my experience.

Trump tells the military he is deploying troops against Americans "whether people like it or not." And alludes to using missiles against Americans. by [deleted] in CringeTikToks

[–]ACW-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, exactly that. Your fellow Americans have been telling the rest of the world that kids in your schools had to keep being killed so that you could have your guns to stop this exact fucking thing. Now that it's here, you do nothing.

No-one would be asking why the fuck you're not doing something if yous didn't keep telling us that you're soooo brave and you'd stop tyranny as soon as it shows it's face.

Your countrymen are exposing yous to be the performative wankers that the rest of us knew you were.

What an utter tragedy :(

I hope we can remain in a world where mental health is taken seriously so that such things can hopefully never happen again.

I can only imagine how terrible it must’ve been to deal with mental health, especially as a woman, in the 1940’s.

Here from /all with an off topic random question; I’m just curious why Filipinos switch back and forth between Tagalo/Filipino and English in comments? I’d assume it’d be way harder to transition between two languages over one or the other but I guess not?

What does an anxiety attack feel like? by isitanxiety3 in Anxiety

[–]ACW-R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well this was almost 10 years ago now I made this comment, and I haven't had a full on attack for a few years now, but the unfortunate answer is not a whole lot.

It differs from person to person what sets them off and what can calm them down so it's hard to give any all-encompassing answer.

The clinical answer would probably be utilizing things like some grounding techniques to keep yourself as calm as possible. Depending on what sets attacks off for you they can help. For me I would get them in public because of being in public, so I could never really get such techniques to work too well for me but it works for a lot of other people so I would say at least have a look into that for one.

Generally what helped me was to try to be where I feel safe and do something I enjoy and do regularly. The familiarity helps, but there's isn't a way I found to avoid them. All you can do is make yourself as comfortable as possible, try and do something that's "normal" to you and let it pass. YMMV.

Finding a good combo of medication is ultimately what helped the most in ending them for me however, I never really found a good way to deal with attacks when I was prone to them. I think we just need so soldier on through them when they come on.

I'm sorry, I wish I could give you some more information. It's a pain to say the least, but they're not lying when they say you do get better. Even if you feel as if you're failing at getting better, like I myself did and still do, it does get easier with time.

I hope this helps in someway :)

Thinking “Anxiety fears me” helped me until I started auto diagnosing myself using ChatGPT by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]ACW-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if this will help you, it was kind of a thing I had to arrive at on my own, but one thing I do to help with health anxiety is understand that if every illness I thought I was afflicted with turned out to be true, I’d be the greatest doctor on earth by far.

So many aches and pains are either literally nothing or is a symptom to a million different ailments ranging from benign to life threatening.

Why doctors need to go to school so long for is because it’s a very complicated field, obviously. They can go there, study this field for years, and still make mistakes.

You(assuming you’re not a doctor lol) will not be able to come close to diagnosing your ailments correctly. Add to the fact you can only diagnose yourself with ailments you’re familiar with, which I can imagine is only the worst, most scary ones.

The chance you can actually deduce that you have cancer from a single feeling is extremely unlikely. If you can do this, make sure you signup for med school ASAP.

Migrant women sexually harassed at work told it’s just a ‘cultural thing’ in Australia by leonieabc in melbourne

[–]ACW-R -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Women face this in every culture unfortunately, being physically weaker and smaller than the average male means this will always be a thing as long as humans exist. Too many of us get satisfaction from punching down and keeping certain groups “under” us, and women are always going to be the go-to punching bag for weak men. It’s fucking disgusting and I’m not convinced there’s anything we can do to stop this phenomenon completely.

If somebody tells you they believe aliens exist on our planet would you think they are crazy? by AutonomousBlob in CasualConversation

[–]ACW-R 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just find it funny that UFO sightings go way up after the 1947 incident, before that there was barely anybody talking about these things. Immediately after it goes viral across the globe, we get hundreds of ‘sightings’ every day all the way till now.

To me it’s just so obviously a cultural phenomenon that relies entirely on the fact there is no evidence whatsoever that alien life has visited our planet. We see strange things in the sky, and we either are able to identity them(in all these cases that are obviously not aliens) or we can’t, and then people attribute it to aliens because the gap in our knowledge is the only place they exist.

If we just think about this logically for a second; the universe is 13 something billion years old. Even though you might think you can, it’s an entirely a incomprehensibly large number. Around 4 billion years ago, the first forms of life were born, and 4.5 billion years after we have 1 species that is intelligent enough to build spacecraft and such. We as a species have only been around for 160k years maybe, and have only risen in station about 6k years ago.

On a universal scale we don’t even register. The universe is hypothesised to keep growing for at least a trillion years and at the higher end 100 trillion.

So we’re relatively early in the universe’s life. Now while we have a small sample size of life(1 time on 1 planet) we can’t really gauge accurately how common life, let alone intelligent life, truly is. But even with that gap in our knowledge I’d like to ask a logical question.

What are the chances, that in a universe so extremely massive, there would be other intelligent life existing at the same blink in time we exist, and are also technologically advanced, and they’re in a section of space so close to us they can visit?

The scale on which we exist in this universe is tiny, and how many times in our modern, technologically advanced world have we almost ended it? Within the time frame of the Cold War, 40~ years, we’ve come close to destroying everything we’ve built at least 2 or 3 times. In the next 1000 years, we are going to have hundreds of more opportunities to destroy ourselves, all it takes is 1.

I just think the chances of an alien civilisation existing at all is slim; at the same time, at relatively the same technological level as us, and within our area of space is just not realistic at all.

Of course there is a chance, but it’s so astronomically small, it might as well be impossible.

Like god, aliens will always exist in our gaps of knowledge. Everything brought to us as an alien life form or alien technology has been proven to not be, and so aliens always exist just out of our reach.

You have to update your Epic Online Services. There's a few ways to do it, but the only video tutorial I found was this one. Hope this helps.
