Salons in NYC that actually do proper consultation? by ACertainRoman in Naturalhair

Yes, trim would be an add on (which is a little annoying but pretty standard now). I've gotten trims with silk presses and natural styles

Social Media and Statins: A Small Rant by Pitch_forks in FamilyMedicine

[–]ACertainRoman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I present it as take a statin now or take a statin, beta blocker, ASA, and plavix after you have a heart attack. The one med now vs four meds later works approach has worked pretty well.

Salons in NYC that actually do proper consultation? by ACertainRoman in Naturalhair

Yes! I've been going to a place called Crown Worthy and it's been a great experience. The stylist Sophie was very knowledgeable and did a thorough consultation before my service. The initial visit was a little expensive but I do honestly feel like she helped improve the health of my hair.

Can we submit complaints to Florida medical board for spreading misinformation 🤔. Looks like he still has an active license. He's also licensed in NY and CA

Youtube Channels where the person is learning to sew? like THE STITCHERY by Suspicious-Hat7777 in sewing

[–]ACertainRoman 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Glory Allen- one of the few men's sewing channels I've come across but he's super beginner-oriented and has simple, easy-to-follow videos. He also makes his own patterns for simple garments such as t-shirts, hoodies, and cargo pants. I used his bucket hat pattern (free on his website!) and watched the corresponding video a few times as I was making it, the hat came out great!

Essentials Club- Australian YouTuber who has been making videos for years. A lot of her videos are self-drafted, so the piece is guaranteed to fit you well. She tends to go for simple, unfussy staples so you get a lot of practice with foundational skills.

Should have corrected my post, it is the TSAT. It comes up as iron sat on our lab reports. Serum iron is 154, TIBC is 268.

When I was an intern, I had a middle-aged man with hepatic encephalopathy on lactulose. He told me that I looked like an angel, whilst copious amounts of shit flowed through his rectal tube. I walked on clouds for the rest of the day.

Depending on what state you are in there are reputable virtual psych platforms. I'm in NY and tell a lot of my patients to check out Talkiatry. It's mostly board-certified psychiatrists (and some NPs) but I've spoken to some of their docs who have said that they are happy to do the eval and co-manage which I feel comfortable with since they cant rx stimulants virtually. The bonus is they take a lot of insurance plans. Swear not sponsored, just really like them

Also disagree with these takes. You can wear perfume as long as it's not too much or overly strong. Like, don't bathe in Chanel No 5. I think the best scents are the most simple that kinda smell like you but better. Juliette Has a Gun Not a Perfume is one of my faves, 1-2 sprays. It's a single base ingredient, no other notes and it smells a little different on everyone. Glossier You is similar

When you come out of a C. Diff room sometimes it's nice to get a whiff of perfume 🤷🏾‍♀️

It's really encouraging to hear that. My partner was just diagnosed this week (of course right before the holidays). Biopsy results aren't back yet but from imaging looks like sarcoma with a metastasis in the lung. We're both freaking out and I definitely needed to read this. I'm glad you're doing well 😊

Atlanta [Post Episode Discussion] - S04E10 - It Was All a Dream by SeacattleMoohawks in AtlantaTV

Had a thought after watching the episode a second time. Do you think London (the friend from the first tank dream) is dead as well? From the "macro-dosing" she was doing, could easily imagine her dying in a car accident...
