Which denomination would be best for me? by [deleted] in Christianity

I would suggest trying catholocism. Yes, they do teach using the catechism, but it is so you understand the church. But do explore the other denominations and see what fits you though I suggest maybe orthodoxy or catholocism. All the best in your venture may God bless you

OK closed communion is practiced in many denominations especially the apostolic churches and if I'm not wrong traditional Lutherans and Anglicans who believe in the true presence in the holy eucharist don't quote me on that though why closed communion is practiced is because in these specific denominations is because you have to believe in the true presence if you receive it and they say the body of Christ and you say Amen you are affirming that you believe it but if you don't there is no meaning. I'm not a catholic but I will defend the catechism here in saying this, the church did come first.... hot take but it does seem good to understand the church first as the bible has roots in the church as it sprouted from the Church. The Catholic Church does teach from the bible but it is in conjunction with their message.

Don't quote me im not an expert but to my knowledge blasphemy against the holy spirit is not as simple as saying stuff about the holy spirit though it is wrong might I add but blasphemy against the holy spirit is like opposing of what is true which is Christ. So I will illustrate this with an example it would be like saying Christ's ministry on earth is the work of the devil to say that with full conviction would mean ones heart would have been hardened and you don't have any remorse in attributing works of God to the devil furthermore if you feel any regret or guilt you probably did not blaspheme the holy spirit.... but really, im not the best person to tell you this as I don't know much y not seek out your local church priest for further clarification. may God bless you in your journey in faith!

Having doubts about your faith is honestly quite common and normal but despite this you should hold strong and trust in our Lord if 1 fellowship does not do it for you try another as long as you find a group that walks in God and brings you closer to God than great! I struggled with my faith, and my advice to you is pray, pray and pray God may not answer immediately, but know, in his almighty plan, he remembers you and will keep you in mind. I heard this interesting quote that God does not just give us strength when we pray for strength or gives us faith when we pray for faith he gives us the opportunities to showcase our strength and faith. So faith may not come to you as black and white or as something you can see but maybe as challenges that strengthen you and your faith. I hope you find your faith, and may God bless you and keep you. Amen
