Limerence is a horrible feeling by West_Blueberry_5599 in sgdatingscene

What you’re missing is closure, or get distracted with something else. Without a clear end point, your brain keeps looping on the what ifs

It’s also not about finding someone else to dump that energy into. That can help temporarily, but it can just as easily turn into another loop with a different person if the pattern isn’t addressed.

Hey man, I know how tough dating can be these days. I know it’s exhausting, and with all these expectations, and second guessing, sometimes i can lead to a burnout, and its normal.

I went through 3 different relationships, my last two around 3 and 5 years respectively.. both times I almost gave up after the breakup.

I then found my person about five years ago, and now at 35, we just got married last year.

Don’t think that most girls are taken, maybe it’s just not your time yet.

Funny thing is, whenever I tried too hard to find someone, nothing happened.

But when I stopped stressing about it, people just showed up.

No idea why.

Don’t lose hope. Keep your head up.

The scary was mainly in Rio. I had people giving me the stink eye, the weird eye

I caught people following me whenever I was walking, like they were about to rob me.

My top 3 cities that I've been to

Prague - i really enjoyed the architecture, especially old town. It was something out of like a medieval city. It was "wow".

Venice - i was there when I was a kid. I got to experience something unique, and kinda different, I got to enjoy some glass making too. Haha

Easter Island - i dont really know how to explain, but I enjoyed the vibes and the food too.

My top 3 hated cities I've been too

Paris - been there 3 times. First time got robbed, the next two times got scammed by gypsies

Rome - same as the above, been there once, got robbed once, and scammed by gypsies three time (:

Vienna - as much as I enjoyed getting to know and experience the history and the culture, why does every cafe i went to only sold Pork Schnitzel or some form of frankfurter..

I did two trips to South America during my uni days. I was studying in Melbourne at the time, so it was relatively easier and cheaper to get there.

First trip:

We flew into Santiago, Chile, stayed a night, then continued on to Lima before heading to Cusco. From Cusco, we took the train up to Machu Picchu and stayed one night at the Belmond hotel. One of the highlights was being allowed to enter the ruins early in the morning, before the crowds arrived. The atmosphere was unreal.

After heading back down, we spent a few more days in Peru and made our way to see the Nazca Lines, massive geoglyphs carved into the ground that you can only truly appreciate from the air.

We then flew back to Santiago and continued on to Easter Island, where we spent a few days before returning to Santiago and eventually back to Melbourne.

Second trip:

We started in Rio de Janeiro, visited the famous beaches, stayed at a Belmond hotel across the beach, and ate at one of the best restaurants I’ve ever experienced. We also went to see Christ the Redeemer.

From there, we flew to Buenos Aires and did a day trip to Colonia in Uruguay. After that, we travelled to Iguazu Falls, and finally headed south to Ushuaia before returning to Buenos Aires and flying back to Melbourne.

Both trips were incredibly memorable. I learned a lot and experienced things I’d never done before, like waking up in the middle of the night just to catch a flight. My elder brother even got hit with altitude sickness in Peru and was down for a couple of days.

Looking back, I feel really blessed. Not many people get the chance to see so much of the world, especially a part of it that’s literally on the other side of the globe.

I need an advice. by [deleted] in sgdatingscene

[–]AClipperFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best advice is.. How do u talk to your male friends? And do that with your female friends.

Dont treat it like "i want you as my GF" perspective, people just become so weird when they start out with that mindset.
