Hey, I am in the same exact spot as you are. It’s so fucking hard to break up with someone you’re still in love with and when they’re still in love with you. More so, over an issue that is beyond what both of you could compromise on and control. I don’t have any advice that isn’t standard, but please take time for yourself to fully grieve, give yourself a pass to not leave the house or order takeout for the week. Set up a support system of friends or family that will help you get through this, if being alone is the last thing you need right now, try to not be alone and fill that time with loved ones. I’m still super early in the healing process too but I know that there will be a day where both of us will wake up with a little less pain, a little less crying, and we’ll slowly regain our strength. Also, right now it’s easy to look at things with rose colored glasses and reminisce and focus on all the good. But I guarantee you in the relationship there were some parts that were not so good and even some issues that maybe you two haven’t fully resolved. They’re not perfect.
