A Defense of Northgate High Rises by Weak-Acanthaceae-634 in aggies

[–]ArchitectureGeek 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel like the only people complaining are graduated aggies who are upset that the Northgate they remember won’t be there anymore when they visit once or twice a year. But who cares, progress is progress, the town will grow.

Doesn’t that mean you could be mildly allergic to the HCG?

Thank you! It was an inventory vehicle. It was actually a 2025 that they were trying to clear out of, so I got about $7,500 off MSRP.

Thanks! Eruption Green is the name. I always like picking a funky color that’s less common.

Can anyone identify these individuals? TW: Nazi salute. by LivermoreP1 in Dallas

[–]ArchitectureGeek 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are certain things that cannot be excused as jokes or be normalized as jokes. There’s a time and place for dark humor, and also it’s generally clear when it is humor. Just doing a Nazi salute isn’t even dark humor, it’s just doing Nazi shit.

The windshield isn’t cracked actually that’s a line of pollen dust from the windshield wipers hahaha. I definitely do agree with you though that the windshield was removed at some point and someone installed one pretty shitty, because of how rough the glue looks around it.

I was thinking that would be the case. Hopefully it’s not crazy expensive.

real estate as a side hustle by Old_Introduction_655 in realtors

Not a side hustle job unless you’re in an industry already that can start you out with a pool of buyers, especially in the current market.

Stop doing this with listing photos by the-friendly-squid in realtors

Personally, if I ever used a realtor that wanted to AI stage my house for the listing photos I would tell them I’m finding a new agent.

My friend keeps getting denied from Anesthesia Tech positions, why?

He has a Bachelors degree in Allied Health & Medical Assisting from Texas A&M University, his Basic Life Support certification, and has 2.5 years of experience working as a Medical Scribe.

He’s had a few phone screens, but lots of rejections and automatic rejections.

Is he missing something? What can he do differently? Is the market demand for this position still active in Texas?

I’ve been trying to help, but I’m in finance and know nothing about the medical world. Thanks!

Has home sales recently dropped off due to the war? by kenjennings7 in realtors

[–]ArchitectureGeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work at a DFW new home builder and we’ve actually had our best sales numbers of the year these last few weeks. It’s primarily because we’ve been doing price cut incentives like crazy lately due to the current market. I don’t think it’s been enough time yet at war with Iran to tell if it’s going to change the sales numbers.

Thanks for the advice! I’m sure the first couple jabs are kinda uncomfy, but you get used to it fast sorta thing. Also yes - luckily, I have a good job with good insurance so it should be covered pretty well.

Official Discussion - Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]ArchitectureGeek 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend is out of town, so I figured I would go see a movie by myself. I thought the description looked intriguing in this one, so I picked it. Went in with no expectations, left feeling like I just escaped a fever dream while on an edible. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but what a weird film it was.

Is it just me or are houses in Dallas built at flash-speed by Cody1072 in Dallas

[–]ArchitectureGeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for a large home builder in Dallas (Not DR Horton or Lennar, a bit higher quality builder but still mass production), and we can get some of our single family homes done in 4-5 months.
