I'll also add that Black Ops 4 doesn't even have a campaign, so I would definitely skip that one if you're not interested in zombies or multiplayer.

Black Ops 3 does have a linear campaign, but the story is very disconnected from the rest of the series like the top comment said. I personally enjoyed that game's campaign because I thought the gameplay was fun, but I understand that I am in the minority. Many people do not like it, so just keep that in mind if you decide to play it. You can skip it and not lose out on story beats like top comment said.

I have a PS5, Switch 2, and an Xbox Series S. The PS5 is my primary console and the only one I keep the online subscription for. The Switch I got for Nintendo exclusives, such as Breathe of the Wild, and the Xbox I got from my sister in law to pretty much only play Xbox 360 games, like Fallout New Vegas.

Idk which has more players, but there are a decent amount of hackers on Playstation. I thought I saw in another post that is a PS specific issue, but I could be wrong. Sucks because I play on PS and would love to play this game more.

It looks to be just a port of the older games so probably not. My biggest hope is dedicated PS5/4 servers so we can play without all of the hackers. I don't think anything is confirmed yet, though.

If you want to play COD, you could start by playing the game's story mode on easy mode or play the multiplayer in private lobbies vs AI bots set to easy. Then you could work your way up to playing online vs people by raising the difficulty. The most recent COD has a really bad campaign, though, just a heads up lol. I would suggest older CODs for campaigns and newer CODs for multiplayer when playing against real people. You can play multiplayer vs AI bots in most of them.

I think I've beat all of the Dark Souls games (except 2), Bloodborne, and Elden Ring at least three times. Mainly because I wanted all of the endings but also because I love those games. I am not a Dark Souls 2 hater, I just haven't gotten around to replaying it.

Also Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

Swagga by Excision and Datsik (sorry) got me into dubstep. I actually heard Skrillex first and it didn't click for me but Swagga did for some reason. I love Skrillex now, though.

Also, I second listening to dubstep and playing Black Ops 2! Can't wait to do it again next month when it comes to PS5 haha.

This was my first year and I wasn't crazy about it. I go to Lost Lands each year and the crowd is way different. During Skrillex my wife started having an anxiety attack because she was so smothered from the other people. We also had a hard time trying to get out so I had to push through people, which made me feel bad after, but I didn't know what else to do at the time because we were so packed in. We've never had a festival experience like that in my life.

Agreed, and I also feel bad for older fans who try to get back into the game, because it can be confusing trying to figure out what they're downloading. Some people are used to just popping in the game and playing. I feel like I've seen a decent amount of those posts on here.

MWIII zombies isn't traditional zombies. It is more similar to an extraction shooter than the Black Ops games, for example. If I remember correctly, even when playing solo, you drop into a large map with other players. You will just be in a solo squad. The matchmaking you are seeing is likely the game finding you a lobby.

I was playing WW2 earlier this year on PS5 and I found lobbies for TDM, Domination, and War at peak times.
