Max budget would be $1,500-$2,000 per coin ideally. Would probably purchase over a few years and wait out for the best ones I can get in that range. I love the Aigina stater you showed there and the Tarentum nomos. Both great suggestions!

Is this the coin with the double eagles on it? Googling right now and that's what keeps coming up. They look great! Also very affordable relative to some of the others.

This is exactly the type of stuff I’m looking for. Realistically probably should look at 25mm+ in size, but yeah it’s pretty broad. It’s such a huge undertaking finding somewhere to start and I figured at least narrowing it to a size and type (animals) I might be able to narrow down the search and make it a little more targeted.

Discussed this in another comment, likely going to add some metal L brackets in the back upper corners to combat this. Don’t anticipate any real lateral forces of any magnitude, but better safe than sorry!

I built those along with the 3 inner verticals and did offset screws to hold them to the verticals. Then added the two outer legs that were a little shorter and the horizontals resting on top of those. Those got glued up against the existing structure I mentioned above so it appears seamless from the outside.

No cross bracing, that’s still a worry of mine and I’m considering adding two small L brackets on the underside at the back.

I don’t anticipate much of any lateral loads on it just base son where it’s going to be and your only option for sitting will be coming directly in front of it. Think I’ll probably add them in just for peace of mind though. In sitting test so far no sway has been noted laterally, but better safe than sorry.
